Got a notice from Mezco that they're charging me for the 1:12 Superman figure next week. I'm still pissed that it comes with that thick "S" on his chest. I'm hoping I can get it off of there and replace it.

It's the DC bi-monthly box subscription. You can just jump on for certain boxes if you don't want to get all of them. Usually there's a pin, patch, shirt, comic book, and at least one Funko POP. Sometimes the POP is a deluxe one so that's all you get, but sometimes you get two POPs or a POP and something else. This is what was in the Superman box they did.

That's a real nice set of stuff. I wonder what the BTAS will have.

That's really nice, but yeah that thick twizzler material is too much for the S.

Sticker definitely works at that scale. For 1/6 it might work since the body is larger and the thickness of the emblem isn't distracting.

The "S" is thick on the BvS Superman Mezco figure, but I think the texture of the suit makes it blend in more. With the regular Superman fabric suit, the "S" really stands out and looks awkward. I'm sure someone will figure out a fix and offer stickers for sale. I'm only concerned with ruining the suit trying to take the "S" off.

I wish I knew how to sew. You could probably make a ****ing killing making affordable custom suits that didn't have that ****ty plastic S, ****ty sewn in undies, and ****ty satiny sheen. In other words, actual good Superman suits.:lol

The shine is the worst of all

It's like Superman's last suit was damaged so badly that he needed to zoom into the local Target and and buy a deluxe, padded muscle Halloween costume.:lol

For me, the other thing that compounds on it is that damn body. They really need to create a buck with a built in neck for figures like this, because that exposed joint at the clavicle is just...honestly, this is probably the least appealing figure they've ever done, which sucks, because it's Superman, and if there's any DC character you should get right, it's him.

Yeah, it does looks pretty thick.

That reminds me of how much HT misses the mark on the Reeve suit. The head and body are some of the best ever produced in any scale, but the costume was far from accurate and it's not uncommon to see the emblem starting to crack. I do wish there would be a run of a custom, more accurate suit someday, since I still think it's THE quintessential HT figure.

Which? Someone recommended using Tamiya flat coat and it did the deed. Not shiny anymore. It's not consistent with Donnie, but whatever. It's not worth the headache.

ahhh. no i was tellin you about using some soft scrub on a cotton swab to take away the shine.
at least its fixed.

I agree with everything you've said about the Reeve figure. What I really wish, is that they would have fixed the suit and included a smiling HS. What I really, really, wish is that they would have made it a DX set with Superman and Clark Kent figures.

This Superman figure looks like they just slapped it together with whatever fabric, material, and body parts that were sitting around the factory. I'm still buying the damn thing because it's Superman, but I'm not happy about it. At least the accessories are awesome.

Jesus Christ. Can we just get May 4th over with already? ****ing day hasn't hit yet and I'm already irritated with seeing the hype for it all over the place. Just let HT release the Emperor and ROTJ figures and get it over with.
