I almost went to see JL this morning, but honestly couldn't be bothered to drive the 90 minutes to the theater where I could see it for free. This is the film I've waited my whole life for and I can't get excited for it at all. I may check it out in the theater after a few weeks, but I'm just as likely to wait until it comes out on blu ray. These DC films have been such a waste of time and a huge disappointment overall. MOS, with all of its issues, is still my favorite.

Same here, in a sense that I've waited all my life to see a JLA film and with the mixed reception it's getting, I KNOW I'm going to be disappointed if I have any expectations in it. My worst fears about the film are also confirmed- it's yet another DC film that is a direct response to the criticism of the previous film by overdoing something, and this time it's the irritating jokes. :slap

BvS is agonizing to sit through without fast-forwarding. There are a few decent bits, but you have to slog through a ton of **** to get to them.

Despite the negative/mixed buzz around Justice League I'm still excited for it. I really love MOS, BVS:UE and Wonder Woman so maybe it'll still satisfy me. Watched MOS again yesterday and was blown away. Way better than I had remembered; definitely in my top 10 favourite comic book movies and MAYBE in the top 5.

Edit: And yes, I think MOS is the best Superman movie and while I can appreciate the impact of the classic Reeve stuff, those films are overrated. Also I know I am definitely in the minority on everything I just said. [emoji16]

I'm going to see JL on Saturday. Not really excited for it. I may enjoy it, but even if I do it's not going to change how I feel about this universe. Particularly the two big dogs in Batman, and Superman. The are both in severe need of a fresh start as far as I'm concerned. I don't care if they finally got Superman right in JL. The damage is done, and it's way too little, way too late. Same goes for Batfleck, but to a lesser extent.

Who knows what will happen. Probably not what I want, but there seems to be a little hope with both characters seemingly in a state of flux at the moment. Affleck is almost certainly gone after JL, and a MOS 2 doesn't seem like it's anywhere close on the radar. Something has to give, and I hope beyond hope that WB will have the good sense to admit both iterations of those characters didn't really work, and they need to wipe the slate clean.

I can't wait to see all the Black Friday "deals" from Sideshow. I wonder when they're going to start giving away Stormtroopers with orders. :lol

Big shocker there. DC hasn't had their **** together from the beginning and they keep doubling down on the awfulness. It's so depressing to see my favorite characters getting **** on over and over again, but it's impossible for me to defend the films no matter how much of a DC fan I am.

It's got only ten percent more on RT, but it's dropped by three since last night. It's going to make money, but I don't see how WB is going to stay this course if everyone is shredding the biggest CBM they've done.

All this JL nonsense reminds me that I need to rewatch some of the animated films again. I particularly thought Justice League Doom and The Flashpoint Paradox were pretty damn awesome. You can always count on most of the cartoons as palate cleansing material since it's too damn late to save the DCEU.

Zod, did you check out Ripley yet? I'm considering it now even though I planned on passing on it since there won't be another one.

I still haven't opened the ****ing thing. I'll check it out this weekend and try to post a couple pics. Even if it's not great in-hand, I still feel like I need it on my shelf--especially since I don't think they'll do anything else with the license. Something is better than nothing, I suppose.

I watched a couple animated episodes and movies after BvS. I needed to remind myself that it's possible for them to do great stories and stay true to the characters--WB is simply choosing to be *******s with the live action films.

Better than customs too. I guess I'll put it on flex pay.

See if they do a deal for her during Black Friday. She can't be selling well so discounts will have to pop up for her at some point. I at least used a $20 coupon to take a little sting out of it.

That's a good idea. I guess I'll wait until then. If it doesn't change, whatever. I'll still put the order through and get her in Feb after getting done payments.
