Man, you guys are lucky. I’m part of this weird *** Tinder generation where “mixed signals” is a ****ing understatement. It seems hard enough to traverse for regular people, when you’ve got this super free and casual, overtly sexual hook-up culture on one side and people on the other telling you that we should be super repressed and conduct ourselves like it’s a ****ing business transaction with contracts and witnesses, but I am, to be completely blunt, utterly inept, socially.

I was basically an obese shut-in throughout my teens and now, I’m trying to broaden my horizons and my two best friends are a married dude who’s like 10 years older than me and my other friend is, essentially, me from a few years ago, except he’s seemingly given up on life entirely. So, yeah, my social life is still ****ing non-existent.

I think the most adventurous I’ve been in my life was going out on New Year’s and getting drunk with my cousin, who’s some sort of a cross between a redneck and a biker, who tried to hook me up with what I’m pretty sure were two forty-year old tweakers from West Virginia (that’s not a dig on West Virginia, by the way, if anyone here is from there; they, were, literally, from West Virginia.:lol).

So, if there was a point I was trying to make, I think I kind of lost it. Moral of the story: milennial dating sucks. Be thankful that you’ve got that **** locked down and that you have awesome ladies who support your hobbies and are cool as ****.:lecture :lol

I can't imagine having to date now. My patience level for ******** and games is zero so each date would probably last two minutes before I just got up and left. :lol

I was a shut in as well. Incredibly socially awkward. I never went outside when I got into my teens. I was chubby too. It's never too late to get into shape. I did that after meeting my wife strangely :lol

I just bought a Star Trek Pinball Machine :horror

Will send Bobs and Benis for monies.

yeah... if i had to put up with all the i'm rockin' a selfie, over sensitive, self entitled "today" mentality with trying to date... i'd be putting a 9mm in my mouth on a daily basis. dunno how you crazy kids do it!?!?

Being able to tell each other that you're fat and old is the sign of a solid relationship. :lecture

Now THAT is trust.

A most good decision. Most good.

It's definitely a rough venture. There's still a lot of pressure for people to get married, yet that's the last thing people should do. With today's entitlement, I see a lot of kids whose parents are emotionally abusive due to the parents battling each other over who's right, etc. I'd probably be single with 6 cats and a big dog if I had to date today.

Oh and ToysRUs is closing 182 stores in US. Better get your wallets ready, here comes clearance on all those LEGO sets, NECA packs, etc. I'm guessing they will do what Hastings did and have it start at either 20% or 30% off initially.

where the F are you gonna put that thing!?!?

I was going to put it in the dining room :lol but my wife nixed that idea. We have a huge living room so now it's going in there in an unused corner. It's one of those things I've wanted since it came out and getting one has always been in the back of my mind somewhere. I love pinball, but the ST: TNG game is one of those special machines that I play every time I see one. When I lived in Vegas, I'd go to the Pinball Museum and play the damn thing for hours.

Damn, I wish we had one here. I'll have to make a trip to the one in OKC when the sales start and see what they have.

i still have 2 in my town that aren't closing... i'm betting they don't discount much to be honest. i'm thinking they'll just move inventory to other parts of town.

That's what I'm afraid of. The ones staying open probably won't discount. But the article I read suggested clearance sales for closing stores will start in Feb and end in April

There's one just a few blocks away that I go to time to time and it's the only one in town as far as I know. I hope it stays.

i'm sure they'll discount some junk... just to clear out stuff that ain't moving... but i'm betting they take the desired items to other stores!
