this is one piece i will order regardless of ES. Price could stop me if its too expensive but it should be within my range. Open ES would usually deter me from POing right away but on this guy, I wont think twice...I will order day 1!!

Fo' sho'! And using my rewards point.

I can't get over this statue! It just took a dump all over the original HULK PF.

Yeh it's not a competition, I personally think this looks much better.
Admittedly I prefer film character over comic but this just looks amazing.
Just hope it's affordable because I really want this regardless of ES.
SS, make as many as you want at a reasonable price.

this has the potential of going no where good fast...Both statues are awesome in their own right. The original PF is an unbeatable Kirby comic representation of Hulk and this new avengers version is exactly what any avengers fan could have wished for in a ruffalo Hulk representation...(looks around and hopes there are no pitchforks being pulled out)

Can't we just enjoy what sideshow is puttin out? Alot of people are too worried about their statue's worth to even enjoy it for what it is. The way this hobby started was through garage/resin kits of characters not represented in 3d form. People just wanted a type of figural statue to represent their favorite comic/movie/tv character, and so sculptors started sculpting their own statues and selling them. Then it caught on and companies started getting legitimate and licensed.
Now we are getting officially licensed statues done by some of the best sculptors in the world, of almost every single character out there, and now we are complaining that our statues won't be worth 1k or won't reach grail status. Just seems silly to worry about how much my statue will fetch on ebay or if it becomes the next Doom PF. Just buy what YOU like and you won't go wrong.

I wonder if the Original Hulk PF will go down in price? Hmmmm....could be possible. Anyways I wanna see better sizing pics with this guy, how on par he is with the original PF.

If you're arguing edition size, it comes down to simple economics. When Sideshow puts something up for pre-order, there's generally a rush to pre-order before it sells out. Exclusivity is a big reason why. One needs to put in the order or possibly miss out all together (although wait list conversions will always happen). No edition size kills that. While there will always be a certain segment of people that will order right away, a number of orders will be lost since there's no rush. Some of those people may eventually come back and order down the line, but its entirely possibly many of them do not. I think a number people on here can relate to pre-ordering something in the heat of the moment and later deciding not to get it. The bottom line is Sideshow will sell less pieces and have more inventory to store. That's less revenue with more expenses.

Down the line, Sideshow will be forced to put pieces on sale to clear inventory. It happens already with less popular pieces. And like any product, demand falls significantly after release. Like movies, video games, etc... prices will fall. Then you have the aftermarket. Prices will never increase with an open edition size. They can only fall. The second hand market will steal sales from Sideshow and further the need to put items on sale. Sideshow simply cannot incur the costs for massive inventory. And if items continue to fall in price, there's more incentive for any buyer to wait and buy a piece later on when prices fall.

The economics only work with limited editions. Or very large demand curves. Now what size that edition is can vary from piece to piece. There will always be a magic number. But it's hard to justify open sizes unless the prices are so high to make purchases limited or demands is so high that Sideshow can sell, sell, sell, or costs are so cheap to produce unlimited amounts.

No! Nothing will beat the original Hulk. It's sculpt, weight & color is far superior to the maquette. Plus comic version always wins out against movie statues.

I just got Skaar today and though I rate it 10/10, it still is not as good as the original Hulk.

Glad you like Skaar so much bro!

I think the IM maquette is an exception (to the comic vs. movie rule)

It's a discussion it's not whining, I don't understand why people just dismiss it like it's not important.

Because to some of us ITS NOT IMPORTANT... just like you think it is, there are people who don't. The most important thing to ME is to be able to assemble a great collection of comic statues that I love.open ES does not hamper that at all but makes it easier.

people who already has the previous hulk PF will console themselves by saying bla bla bla... it is just a normal human character n reaction, down the line they will accept the fact that the NEW HULK AVENGER PF is much much much much more AWESOME... till maybe they make a HULK LSF that is even more awesome or not...
