save the reward points until you have enough to buy a statue outright, that way you don't miss out on reward points.

worst thing to do is apply a small amount of reward pts to an expensive statue and lose the reward points for the entire order.

Yeah, gagaliya makes sense but I used all my redeemable points not my pending points. Remember I said I by a lot of stuff! I still have points and I saved on the purchase .Do you know how much you'd have to buy to get Hulk with just points? I can't wait that long! I do appreciate the input.

Give me no credit for my position. It is easy now. No one loses anything by not PO this piece right away. It'll probably be available for years to come. The real test of my position will be when this masterpiece is released. If this comes out looking great when it's released, that will be a true test of my position. That will be hard. I love the Hulk. When the day comes that in hand pics start showing up here, that will be the day when I hope you aren't calling me a hypocrite.

You have a big heart bro filip, I also don't like open ES but I can't afford not to have this in my collection especially when I already have IM, WM, BW and Cap on my display, Hulk will be a great addition to the team. But I know the strongest feedback we could give to Sideshow for us who don't like their open ES policy is by not buying them, but so far I am getting Galactus and Hulk I know I fail.

I saw this statue up close at the con, although I like the pose honestly the paint job on this is not as good as the PF, so waiting for in hand pics probably will not be a bad thing since you can wait.

You don't have to explain anything to anyone. You buy pieces you love and that's the end of it. People are left with the choice of buying big G and the Hulk maquette as open ES. That's the way SSC decided to roll on those pieces. That doesn't mean you or anyone else have to be happy about it. As a matter of fact, almost everyone here would still prefer a closed ES on those pieces. Many peeps picked this up because their love of the characters outweighed their dislike of the open ES. That was the way the game was set by SSC. The fact that you and others voiced your displeasure of an open ES is no crime, even if others would have you believe otherwise.

I always like when people voice whatever issues they have with a compaines business practice. It never hurts to discuss things. Changes are made when topics are discussed. SSC may still pursue open Es pieces in the future. They at least know how some of their customers feel about it. There is nothing wrong with that. Enjoy your pieces Mamba. I have always enjoyed your posts and your thoughts on numerous topics.

When people don't order directly from Sideshow, I am assuming they are getting better deals from Sideshow distributors (talking about regular edition pieces). How much are they really saving? 5%? 10%? Just going to understand this portion of the market a little more and whether I should wait for local distributors for this piece.

People who live in California should never really order regulars directly from Sideshow due to the tax.

I agree, that's why I'd still voice my opinions here I know Sideshow reps read our comments here, at least they got mix feedback regarding this.

Everyone would prefer a number on his base. (apart from the people waiting for in hand pictures before ordering but if it was limited they would of ordered anyway).

They are testing the waters with open edition. If the OES strategy succeeds, many more PFs and maquettes will have no exclusive, no edition numbers on the base be open edition.

SS has had piece before that has open ES . As I've said before many of the original SSW lotr items were open ES and are now worth quiet a bit.

nah this is completely different with regards the weta items. sideshow has never gone the open es route with a vengeance like this in the past on their flagship items, galactus, lotr rider pf reg, and now hulk back to back to back.

fuzzy is right, they are testing the water, if the order level remained the same or even just slightly lower, expect many more open es on all popular items in the future. Batman pf reg is very likely to be open es...
