Simples!
Comiquette = Comic Version.
Maquette = Movie Version.
The question is why wasn't this a PF?
It's mixed media and 1:4 scale. Probably because there is already a Hulk PF?

Cause Maquettes are used for movies. as simple as that. This is a Maquette LE build for the movie thus the reason its a maquette

NightCreeper cares, he asked the question.

:lol

:peace

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I've only ever bought PFs from SS, never bought a statue from them labeled as a Maquette. So I wasn't sure if there was a difference I was unaware of.

Hey guys! Due to my charming personality (LOL) I was able to score two more pieces from our Sideshow rep. They are now up on the site for pre-order if anyone is still looking for one! Thanks!

Thanks for posting but sold out already:(

Maquettes are movie version characters. PFs and Coms are comic based. Maquettes can also contain cloth elements as well as PFs. That's what can cause some confusion.

Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering the same thing.

PF is an SSC term. Hulk is by legacy thus not named PF.

This is the answer to your questions. If Sideshow had produced The Hulk instead of Legacy, it would have been called a Premium Format. No doubt about it.

Definition of MAQUETTE
: a usually small preliminary model (as of a sculpture or a building)

Basically F/X studios make maquettes to get an idea of what something will look like but on a small scale. Thus this statue is a maquette of the Hulk because that is what it was.

Now as far as why SS has other items called maquettes goes with the above mentioned definition.

I also agree that if sideshow produced this all on their own it would be a comiquette (if fully sculpted) or a PF.
