I'm sorry, but that isn't true. If you want to buy this maquette, it will be available through sideshow at retail for many years to come. There is still no need to PO it, pay an NRD, and have to deal with possible QC issues.

Wait until it's released, keep your NRD in the bank, make sure there are no QC issues and then just buy it direct from SSC after it's released. There is no real advantage for a collector to PO this piece from SSC. NONE.

The advantage for me is that I'll get it as soon as its out and if there is any QC I can exchange or return.

I have pre-ordered this for £100 less than it would cost direct from SS.
If I waited I wouldn't be able to do that. The seller I bought from has already raised his PO price by £50.
It is totally different for international buyers who pay a lot more ordering direct.
You can only speak for yourself as everyone's situation will be different depending on location.
There is a HUGE advantage to me ordering on release.

Agreed on all counts and the import taxes we have to pay are horrible lots of exclusives i would have loved oh well.

You misunderstand what I'm saying. I stated that there is no reason to PO this directly from sideshow. If you PO'd this piece through a e-merchant or retailer at a lower cost, than more power to you. That is an advantage to you and a wise decision.

I stand by what I said earlier, There is no reason to order this directly from SSC now. Why pay an NRD or deal with possible QC issues? The price is fixed at $650 + shipping if ordered through SSC directly. This piece will be available for years to come. It would be wiser to wait for in hand pics and avoid an NRD on a statue that won't be released for quite awhile.

When anyone chooses to buy a piece is up to them. I have no beef with how peeps wish to spend their money.

No Bro, I just meant that it'll be the same price no matter what if ordered directly from SSC. Internationals will still have to pay the $650 + shipping + taxes no matter what if ordered from sideshow.

I'm glad you were able to secure this piece at a discounted price. I'm all for whatever puts a little more coin in the pockets of collectors. It allows us to spend that extra savings on more merch we like.

I have no idea from an international buyers point of view, but since I'm in CA, Sideshow will charge me tax, shipping, and retail price. And since this is 650 bones, that comes out to about $730-750 total. So I can wait lol.

You could wait but some of us got it 3rd party for far less than retail. Mine was $650 shipped which I consider to be a great deal and a bunch of people got it at like $580 shipped. I'm not sure it will be that cheap even on the secondary market...at least not for a long while after ship. Course, if you are just waiting to see pics and you don't care about paying full price then more power to ya. I just wanted this thing at ship for the best possible price I could find.

We all know comic con prototypes are FAAAAR different than in hand pics.
Plus you won't get if it's hollow, how it stacks up against other statues, etc.
