Karen Allen look fantastic, and Harrison looks great back in the costume. I'm looking forward to Indy 4 a bit more now, but that douche on the far left is just ruining most of my excitement.

I thought Shia did a good job in Transformers. But I must say, he looks better clean shaven.

Here's me (far left) on the INDY panel at SDCC:

That's awesome Irish! What were you guys discussing?

INDY IV and the upcoming YOUNG INDY DVD sets mostly. Also, Hasbro's Allen Richardson was there (cool guy) and spoke before me. I was sure to piggyback on that and plug SSC's upcoming INDY items as well. :rock

Here is my damn near finished Indy custom! I couldn't contain my excitement so I decided to post it here too... It's not 100% finished, still needs a little more weathering and a tad of touch up to the face.... But there it is...

Thanks WG! I still have a lot of work to do, but today I was so happy to have that one finally coming together so I HAD to share. :lol

Still need to update the shoes with the Newline Indy boots, but will do that later. I also have a lot of work to do on the hat and coat... but it's nearly there. Now he just needs some company!

Well, parts wise...Dragon body... Most of the gear... shirt, belts, gun, bag and jacket came from the Relic Hunter figure. The head and hat came from Lonnie over at H2 creative, boots and pants are DID WWII. The pants were dirtied with grey weathering solution to get them more screen accurate as Indy's pants were not solid brown or tan. Whip was a custom job from Ebay, very cool seller and nice work too!

I sanded the jacket to get the sheen off and soften the leather a bit... It worked pretty well, but I still need to add some dirt to it....

He looks great! Except maybe for the zipper :lol But seriously, great work. He'd look perfect with my Belloq, Toht and Dietrich.

And I think the boots you have in that picture look great. No need for NewLine. I thought they were.

As Wor-Gar stated, sans zipper, your Indy is simply GORGEOUS! Great job DA!!! WOW!!!!!!

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah, the zipper bugs me... I might just remove it altogether. It really doesn't need the zipper anyway, it looks bad closed due to scale issues.

As for the boots, these are pretty nice... the Newlines just have the accurate Alden boot style stitching on the toe... The perfectionist in me really wants em eventually...:lol

You could probably just cut the zipper right off and use a silver pen on the little material left over to create the illusion of a zipper... like Pjam and others did on the T-800 jacket.

Great work DarkArtist! I really like your Indy! I have the wrong type of leather jacket on mine. It has the elastic waistand and elastic cuffs. Here's a picture of mine. I got a Frontline head from Lonnie Hale, and got a nice custom hard resin fedora from Mary Lacour (mpl59 on eBay). She also hand-made my Indy's real leather whip, belts, holster, pistol, gas mask shoulder bag, and white shirt. I got the jacket and the pants and boots from a G.I. Joe 12" Tuskeegee Airman figure a few years ago. I'm very proud of it. Yeah, I'd like a better head for him, but this one does just fine for me. But, I will still buy all of Sideshow's 1/6 scale Indys when they come out! :D

I have removed the snaps on the jacket since this picture was taken...

Oh yeah, Mary also made all of Indy's artifacts for me too! The golden idol and sandbag from Raiders, the three Sankara stones from Temple Of Doom, and the Holy Grail cup of Christ from The Last Crusade. I have painted over the dreaded "white dots" in his eyes now per suggestions from other board members here. I'll take some new pictures soon.

Hey man, awesome Indy.:google This is by way one of the most professional custom Indiana Jones figures using the Relic Hunter and Lonnie Hale head I've ever seen. Top notch.

If you don't mind I have a couple of suggestions: you definitely need the Newline boots; there's a better top/pants belt out there, if you can find it. It's called a Winstone web belt (maybe DID?). Ben and I got ours from Toy Soldier Brigade. I've attached some pictures. It's a little out of scale, but it really beats the Relic Hunter belt, imo. I would recommend painting the buckle on the gas bag strap silver. Also, if you want, Ben could make you a more accurate holster, like the ones he's made for our Indys.

My suggestions in no way are meant to insult or insinuate that Ben and my Indys are better. Just to maybe help an awesome customizer out.

By the way, have you seen mine and Ben's Indy figures?

And I'm going to update my Indy's page soon. I repainted the head a few days ago.

Hope I was helpful. :)

Great work Jedi Mike. I love Mary's work. I was, up until today, bidding on some of her Indy gear until it got up to $76. Yeesh! Not willing to pay that for a couple of accessories. But anyway, great work.

See if this jacket looks familiar. https://mrfusion1138.tripod.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=https://mrfusion1138.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/myindianajonescustom312.jpg&target=tlx_new&title=Picture%20added%207-17-07

Yep, it's the Tuskegee jacket. Ben removed the wrist and waist bands and sewed the bottoms down. He also made the sewn crease in the backhttps://mrfusion1138.tripod.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=https://mrfusion1138.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/ben_indy_jacket.jpg&target=tlx_new&title=(10-14-06)%20Ben%20dry-brushed%20the%20whole%20jacket%20black.

And yeah, the eyes can make or break a figure. In facial appearance, anyway.

So, keep up the good work. I really envy your Indy gear. Speaking of, check out this site: https://www.indygear.com/index.shtml Sorry if there are too may links in this post, but the last one is definitely worth a look-see.

I agree totally. We saw Transformers the other day (f'cking great, by the way) and I thought Shia was great in it. Well acted... funny. We both came out the theatre saying he'll be a good addition to the Indy film.

Can't wait

Thanks MF! Dude, I love your Jones!! Les and I have had many conversations about you guys and your work. I had your Marion in my hands when I was down there, Hell it was your stuff that made me want to go home and make my Indy already! :lol

Thanks for the advice on the belt. The pants I have came from the Winstone figure, I will hunt for the belt as well... Really don't like the Relic Hunter belt.

As for an accurate Holster, that would be really cool of you guys! I would most certainly be down for that. :rock

Thanks for the links Mr. Fusion! I appreciate it. You guys did great work on your custom Indy. Yeah, I like the Tuskeegee Airman jacket I have too. I plan on doing the same thing you guys did. I"m going to cut off the elastic waistband, and cuffs first. I'm not much of a sewer, but I think I could sew just around the waist and cuffs. I really like how much better my Indy's jacket looks now after I took off the snaps that were originally there. Yeah, that Indy Gear site is great! Thanks again for the help! :D

Great work guys but can any of them really beat this?:rotfl

Found him in my parents attic yesterday. Along with the Well of Souls playset.

Yes I'm excited.

Thanks guys.... Tonight after much other work I finally finished the Indy... Removed the Zipper, weathered the jacket and Hat, touched up the lips and made a quick base for him... Check it out!
