Over the summer I rediscovered one of my favorite films on DVD. A few months ago, I finally bought the four-disc Indiana Jones box set, since I hadn't watched the films for some time. I immeadiately realized that for me, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK is the greatest move ever made. It literally has every thing I want in a film: nonstop action, great pacing, romance, a genuinely horrific climax and a 1930's period setting (I love the styles of the thirties.) Honestly, it is far better than all of the STAR WARS episodes combined, and is better than most of the Bond films.

Anyway, after re-falling in love with RAIDERS, I went to work one what I consider my artistic masterpiece. Here is my dedication to my favorite film, done in watercolors with some ink. It was heavily influenced by the work of Drew Struzan, Richard Amsel and the movie posters of the 1930's and 40's.

I hope you guys like it. It's not much, but I put alot of work into it:

Please let me know what you think! If it's popular, I might do some based on the other films.

Glad you now see the light Dr.! Hehe. For me, I've realized for AGES that Raiders has got to be my fave film of all time...for all the points you mentioned, and more. I mean I love SW and LOTR and all that, but who wouldn't want to be Indiana Jones?! It's just classic in every sense of the word.

Oh, and your art ROCKS! Keep it up! :rock

I was checking the packaging site and saw this. I'm not sure what it'll be for, but it looks kinda cool.

Just read this out the movie highlight to read...that it's going to have Communist Russians and not Nazis :monkey2:monkey2

Looks... I don't know, looks okay I guess...

Hey, did any of you guys hear about the scandal that broke out earlier in the week? Apparently, some stupid kid actor, who signed a NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) blabbed the major plot points to his hometown paper. He was immediately cut from the film and all related leaks about the film's plots were quashed...

Except for this...

yea, that kid's a complete and utter idiot. apparently, he doesn't understand what a non-discloure agreement is. he can and should be sued for breach of contract, but I doubt spielberg would do that. probably just cut him from the movie and blackball him forever. kinda wish i didn't already know about the spoilers, but oh well, still can't wait to see the movie.

The spoilers he revealed were hardly huge revelations, they were already known or guessed at by most Indy fans for a long time now. Still, I can understand Spielberg being pissed. I've whited them out but they are minor plot spoilers IMO.

it's in the 1950's vs commie Cate Blanchett, they are after a crystal skull in South America, *shocker* Indy gets captured in this film like he has been in the first 3, and the big "secret" that Spielberg thinks was still a secret: Shai plays Indy & Marion's son whom Indy passes the hat to - people have been guessing about this since it was believed that Natalie Portman was going to play Indy's daughter. The one the extra didn't mention which I think is cool is that John Hurt will play the long thought dead Abner Ravenwood

These were the spoilers that were also reported on AICN sometime ago and promptly disappeared. He's a F$#@n' moron for blabbing. I wouldn't mind Spielberg taking him to court on this one.
Oh an Entropy Chicken, The inviso-text is a good idea, but doesn't work here because when you make a post, all the other post's boxes change to brown.

Ha! It was an Oklahoma boy who spilled the beans to a paper in Tulsa,OK. Yeah, he can kiss his acting career goodbye. He's just a ballet dancer anyway.:D

I certainly haven't read anything else about the spoilers that this kid spilled, but if what I just read in the link above is all there is, I'm not sure that there's much there that couldn't have been released in any somewhat generic synopsis of what the movie is going to be about. I agree the kid was stupid for saying anything at all, and hopefully he's got a day job that he can stick with, but honestly I hardly think those minor tidbits are worth getting worked up over for more than the blink of an eye. So somebody should have smacked the kid on the forehead and said "Ya ain't supposed ta say nuthin'!" (since he DID sign the nondisclosure agreement!) and that would have been enough.

Was there more to the plot leakage than what's noted in this short article?

Besides, any publicity is good publicity, and who's it really going to spoil it for? I mean, I'm still going to see the movie, and I'd bet a week's pay that anyone else who planned on going will still go... I guess I just don't see why there's all the drama. :monkey1

That was mostly it. There was a few more plot points but nothing really remarkable.
If you want, I can PM what I coped of the actual quotes from the original article.

I remember read it somewhere Enterbay may release Arnie version of Indy, but well ....we can expect it will cost quite a bit of $$$

12" Indy with diorama will be cool, tho.

Enterbay will not be doing Arnie Kim's Indy or his Captain John Miller. Bummer really.

Anyone think we'll see an Indiana Jones 1/6 announcement and order by November? They premiered SW at SDCC and we got Luke over Memorial Day Weekend if I remember correctly....maybe slightly after. Anyone think that they'll follow suit with this? I can't wait for them to be released!!
