Anyone think we'll see an Indiana Jones 1/6 announcement and order by November? They premiered SW at SDCC and we got Luke over Memorial Day Weekend if I remember correctly....maybe slightly after. Anyone think that they'll follow suit with this? I can't wait for them to be released!!

ANY Indiana Jones announcement by the end of the year would be fantastic. This is the one license I'm most looking forward to next year. Waiting for product announcements is killing me.

They showed the Indy Head-Sculpt during the Sideshow Panel at SDCC and it looked amazing. Can't wait till be see at least a Proto for the 1/6 Indy.

Hey, guys. I just got my new Indy whip in the mail the other day! It pretty much completes my Indy gear. I even took a couple of pictures (attached below).

I hope we will get the first 1/6 Indy announcement before the end of the year... but I'm fine with them taking their time if it translates to a more kickass figure :rock

Very nice bro! I had to use a not so Indy whip during Halloween, with a long wooden handle and everything. :monkey2

Like rats abandoning a sinking ship :lol

:lol

I also noticed that there are no Toys McCoy sales for Jones. That's a first; there's always one up. Good sign for those who have it though -- it's the one 12" version I think will hold it's value... just for nostalgia sake, and for the clothing and accessory details that have long since become standard.

That sucks. Do you have a more accurate one, yet? If you don't and are still looking for one, I suggest Winrich's "Indy-on-a-budget" whip. It isn't kangaroo hide, and it isn't as tightly woven (plaits, or whatever), but it looks really accurate. I'm really happy with mine.

Good luck finding a better whip. I know you can, the Force is strong with you, indeed.

Yes, decided to keep mine also.
The Sideshow version will be the better one, but this one remains special to me.

Got my 2 Indiana Jones t-shirts today. 1 white one (see picture) and a black one.

Can't wait for 2008 to begin.

I totally agree. The Toys McCoy version was the first serious attempt by a major toy company to do Indy properly. It really only suffered from the old style body design they had to use back then. The (Billiken) Hayao Hama head sculpt was pretty much state-of-the-art at the time, and they went all out on the accessories, too.

Being such a huge Indy fan, (still the best thing Lucas has ever done, imo) I went a little nuts and picked up two of them, along with an Arabian horse for each, when they were first released in Japan many years ago. No big surprise, they sold out fast, even back then. I had no idea they'd appreciate so much over time, but that hardly matters. Neither one of mine will ever go up for sale... not while I still draw breath, anyways.

I'm really looking forward to owning SSC's version of Indy, and I'm sure they'll do a kickass job on him, but I'll always count the Toys McCoys Indys among my most favorite possessions, funky Hasbro bodies an' all.:D

Have any of you guys seen this at cooltoyreview.com?

For a McFarlane/NECA collector like me, this is almost a dream come true. Sure it's not gonna be as sweet as SSC's stuff, but it has me alot more excited than Hasbro's toys, and will hold me over as the definitive Indy figure, until SSC's 12" Indy from ROTLA comes out.

Judging from the pic, the likeness isn't perfect; but it looks better than the Hasbro figs, or Disney's previous offerings, and it looks like it will fit in with my Cult Classics stuff just fine.
