Just stripped my whipping Indy and put the clothing onto a spare Abe Lincoln body, popped the head off and put it on slightly (didnt wanna fully pop it onto SS body). Also took the jacket from my talking indy and wound up whip.

The map room Indy figure comes with a SA Indy shirtlseeves body under the white robe, but the whip action Indy head doesn't fit on it as the neck post is too large. Aaaaarrrrggh!

Just noticed that the Cairo Swordsman figure has exactly the same body as the Cairo Henchman, just a different head. Hasbro's really getting some mileage out of the moulds for the deluxe figures.

stopped at a few stores today but no motorcycle. i did pick up the troop car, another raiders indy and 4 germans (figures not real ones). the troop car is awesome btw. we got home and my daughter, son, and myself played in the backyard sandbox for about 2 hrs with everything. some of the paint apps are questionable sure but let me just say these are the best pure toys since the sigma 6 joe line. my kids loved them. the indy stuff is sturdy, durable, poseable, etc. nothing fell off like on some of the 25th joe stuff. so as far as 'collectibles' go maybe they arent top notch but as far as toys which you are able to play with, bury, dig up in the sandbox, have them be the victim of numerous foot-made sand cave collapses....A++ fantastic figures.

I've been to a couple different Targets and Wal-Marts, and I've seen plenty of Spalkos, Mutts, Indys, Marions, Swordsmen, Belloqs and Germans, but surprisingly, I have yet to see a Sallah or a Monkey Man. I wonder why they're so popular? The only deluxe packs I've seen are the Marion/henchman one, Well of Souls Indy w/ Ark, and the German two pack (I've bought all three.)

Where have all the Indy w/ horse, and deluxe temple trap Indys gone?

It amazes me how this stuff is distributed. I've seen nothing but the deluxe horse, motorcycle and trap sets. Just can't find the well of souls. By the way for those that have found the well of souls set. How does the ark look? Pretty decent for 3.75 size?

I actually saw Sallah and the Monkey Man on May 2nd at a local store... but they were not there the next time. Maybe those are short-packed, I can't imagine a lot of kids clamoring for them.

Has anyone bought the 12" Indy's? Thought about getting those and taking the accessories from the talking one (including the voice), then putting them with the action Indy. Would hopefully suffice until the SSC arrives.

I went so early on Thursday the employees at TRU let me go through the cases. There are MANY different assortments and I have yet to see Sallah, Cemetary Warrior or the German Soldier 2 pack. Now that Target has done its reset I'll try again tomorrow.

I got the ark set and it is very good for 3 3/4". In fact it fits in my vintage Well of Souls playset.

The 3.75" is not bad. Nice details, though they left the pole hoops off of it which makes it pretty inaccurate in that regard. I'm also not fond of the "gold" paint. I'd rather it was electro-plated, like the one that Kenner made in 1981. But this Deluxe figure is still worth picking up (even though some of us are still scratching our heads over the lack of a Staff of Ra).
