Who the hell crapped on Indys upper lip on the final product? That looks totally ridicolous and destroys the great look of the sculpt. To show what i mean i changed the proto (i know it is too dratically).

Looks much much more like Harrison Ford to me in the production pic. The more I look at the prototype, the more I see some Mexican wearing Indy's clothing.

I really hope it is the lighting. I can definitely see a difference between the two, but it could be chalked up to lighting and paint app. The proto looks very Indy to me. Mischevious smile. The production shots look like the same sculpt, but it looks much more serious. I prefer the proto pic.

Edit: Actually the more I look at it, the more I am convinced it is differences in paint apps. Especially the eyebrows. On the Proto, they are more rounded, which give him a more playful, relaxed look. The production piece has straighter eyebrows which give a more severe, concentration like look.

It's still a cool piece, but it's a lot different from the one I thought I was ordering.

I agree, it is still a sweet piece. Come on Its a Indy PF :D. But still he looks like a ghost, maybe it is a strong light or maybe not. I hope it is a huge bright light and not a shabby paint job

Wat you guys think of the packaging for Him? I'm actualy quite dissappointed in it :(

Dude STFU, disappointed in a box? Are you disappointed that the styrofoam on the inside is plain white too?

Yeah presentation of the Box is also important dude. Have you seen how amazing the boxs are for Freddy and Jason PF. For a true collector the packaging is also important. it shows the quality and prestige of the item it is holding. Alot of work goes into package designs so we should appreciated it. All i'm saying is ye the box is nice but was expecting alittle more graphic intense on it. Esp like Freddy and Jason with that sleeve they have over the box., now that is awesome and orginal. :)

Looks still good to me, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed and cheated, like I spent this big amount of money on an extraordinary item, but instead I'll be getting an extraordinarily "decent" looking item. Anyway, isn't it was almost always happens when production pictures unveil after months and months of looking at a perfectly beautiful prototype?

Yeah in a way i wish sideshow would'nt tease us with prootype images and keep that to themselves. Then when the production figure is out, take photo's of that and then we wont be dissappointed :naughty

Looks the same to me. You just have to factor in a strong bright light shining from above in the second picture.

I have to strongly agree with this statement. It is the same sculpt, with a very different lighting technique. Being a professional photographer it's easy to see that the amount of lighting used in the latest photos makes the statue a lot "brighter," for lack of a better word. The lighting on the prototype was much less harsh and dimmed a lot of the color, and features.

Paint is different. His eyes look more accurate in the new photos (I believe his eyes are blue in real life,) the proto eyes looked brown. The eye brows look like they were painted different, but for the better IMHO. They also took some different angled shots from the proto, which might not be the best angles for this piece.

My opinion: Same sculp, different production paint job, harsher light washes him out a bit. Can't wait to get mine! :chew :gun :whip

The prototype pics Vs. production are chalk & cheese wich I suppose is the point. I for one solidly believe the 'changes' are exclusively a result of paint application. There is no change in the sculpt. More teeth are visible due to the lighting.
I actually much prefer the production piece as the weathering is more pronounced and the eyebrows give his smile more of a sardonic turn like when he's dealing with Belloq. Frankly I was dreading pics of the production piece as I thought it was going to be as dissapointing as the 12" but I'm pleasantly suprised. God knows whenthese things will hit UK shores though...

Well, no, not exclusively paint, sure the eye brows are painted different, that's a given, but a lot more of it is that super bright light in the new production images, just look at the idol, its almost lit up like a christmas tree in the production pics.

I would be very surprised if the production statue didn't look very much like the proto if it had been shot in the same lighting setup and at exactly the same angle.

I'm still very much looking forward to getting him and doubt that any who still have him on order are going to be disappointed.

As for the box, yeah, sure I guess it should look nice, but in the end it ends up in a plastic bag and stored away in the shed. As for the styrofoam, as long as it does its job, I couldn't care less, its the statue that matters.

Damn, looks like he is suffering from the Aragorn syndrome : still an amazing product but hindered by the production paint job. At least I have the exclusive coming, it should be easy to get repainted.

Ha, actually sideshow should make removable heads standard on all their PF's. It would make it so much easier for those who want a prototype-like paint job from one of the talented painters that reside in these forums.
