I thought we had finally moved past the chicken little syndrome. This is like the early Star Wars 12" releases. :slap

Indeed... and some of us have to wonder why SSC employees (for the most part) don't pop on here to engage in discussions anymore-- the glare from the mob's torches must be too much.:rotfl

Oh well...

It's really sad too, because the Sideshow VIP's were always so much fun to have around. :(

I definitely say wait till you see some in hand pics before freaking out people. Honestly, i think it looks good. Sideshow doesn't always do the piece justice with their photography unfortunately.

Oh well...

On the other hand, one word from them along the lines of "we haven't changed the sculpt" would quell a lot of people's doubts.

You know, we get this every single time a new piece is about to ship. We get photos and everybody freaks out until they get theirs in-hand and, for the most part, they are happy.

I can see some changes to it, but, eh, I still like it. I'm sure it'll be fine in person. Still the best-looking high-end Harrison Ford piece out there, IMO. I'm gauging this against the Han Solo PF. I like that piece quite a bit and this one is miles ahead of that one.

I still plan on having my Han PF repainted one day, can't wait to see how he looks with a good paint app.

Sometimes, however, the criticisms are warranted and could even be constructive.

There needs to be a happy medium somehow. Being stuck between Apologists™ who want NO negative discussion whatsoever and Haters™ who can't ever find anything positive to say about Sideshow is no fun. :monkey4

You guys are never happy.....

It is definitely the lighting on the photos that make his clothes looks greenish. The face still the same and the box.....for God's sake.....it looks alright.

Guys, stop complaining so much and let's wait to see the in hand photos, alright...

Damn, after seeing the pics posted last night, I thought I was happy. After seeing the high res pics...I'm even happier! I don't know what people are complaining about, personally. I don't think the sculpt changed at all, but if it DID, it still looks at least as good as the earlier version.

You know what I hate hearing? "We spent this much money on the product, so we EXPECT it to be a perfect representation!" Hey, even the $1,800 CM Indy isn't a perfect representation, so a perfect representation may never exist. Until someday it may, this is as good as it gets. If guys look upon this figure with shame due to one little nitpick.... well... I got nothing.

I agree 100% with you-- This board is a perfect opportunity for SSC to get immediate consumer feedback from their most passionate (and quite select) customers-- Unfortunately the quick "chicken little--oh, the line's dead-- oh this picture makes it look like Dabney Coleman" mob reaction washes away any constructive comments (like the Utapau Clone helmet note from the SW section). I'm certainly not going to say that I'm enamoured with everything that is released by SIDESHOW... But I do wait until I either A) have it in hand or B) see pics from other collectors before I weigh in on if it's a bust or no.

We need patience... constructive criticism... and jubilation (great time to be a collector) mixed together with a healthy dose of maturity. Then maybe there'd be more free flowing discussion between the collectors/fans and the company.

There is no complaining! We're just voicing our opinions on what we see. How is that wrong? Will our opinions suddenly be valid once we have them in hand or see others photos? No, it will be the same and you will still probably just call us complainers. Why do you care if we voice our opinions? You have yours and others have theirs. Period. Or is it just because some opinions are different than yours? Could that be it?

People just get tired of non stop negativity about everything.

It's not complaining and it's not negativity. People are just saying what they feel about it. I can see if people were saying, "This sucks" or "Sideshow can go to hell"...uncalled for comments. But for God's sake, not everything is going to be perfect to everyone. I agree with IrishJedi that if we keep it constructing and honest there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with one another and even not liking a product. It's just reality and I refuse to sugar coat.

But it's somewhat annoying when people automatically leap to DefCon 5 with every new picture/announcement.

Criticism that leads to something constructive is good... Wailing at the stars and shaking your fist into the heavens for no other apparent reason than you like to make noise can get tiresome in its repetition.

I never said to sugar coat it, that anything said was uncalled for, that everything is perfect. If you quote me then respond to only me and my comment.

Everyone is of course entitled to voice their opinions. However my point remains: It is negativity, and no matter how justified, it just gets old to listen to people complain about everything all the time.

Should just stick to the sandbox were people know how to have a good time. :lol
