To this day, I dream to know what Billy Dee would look like as Two-Face of Burtonverse...

That would have been interesting. And I don't recall any uproar in the change of a white to black character.

TLJ hammed it up a bit, but overall was a fun performance.

Eckhart, while good, his Two-Face was just an angry guy with with a burned face. There was no conflicting personalities.

I'm not that excited about Hamill and possibly Conroy playing those roles.

I've also always wondering how Billy Dee's Harvey Dent could have panned out.

"The character of Max Shreck was originally written to be Harvey Dent. The explosion at the end of the movie was only supposed to scar Dent, which would lead to his becoming the villain Two-Face and set up the third movie in the franchise. Most of Shreck's political aspirations would make more sense coming from Gotham City's District Attorney than a department store mogul."

The comic didn't show any actual nudity so the movie doesn't need to either. I guess we'll see. I'm looking forward to it either way.

They may just give it an R rating to keep it out of unknowing kids' hands. I mean most adults automatically think "cartoon = kids movie." If they go to Red box and it gives them the R rated film warning, that would at least give them a heads up this Batman cartoon may not be for your kids.

I'm just glad this will let them go all the way without pulling anything back. If it gets R, then so be it. Just don't water things down.

I hope they are true to the material. The material as is warrants an R.

What I don't want is what HBO did to Spawn. "Since it's for an adult audience, let's load on all sort of extra stuff for shock value" It just came off as juvenile.

@Buttmunch - that will be a problem no matter what. DC will face a challenge with kids occasionally seeing this. Lazy parents will not pay attention and let junior watch it on his own little tv, unaware of what's in the show. Then he will grow up to be a super villain. It could have been avoided.

Well during Gordon's ride, you did see her naked. While no actual shots of her genitals or nipples were shown, most rating systems will base that as nudity. Can't forget that Gordon himself was stripped naked when he was put into that tunnel ride.

Partial nudity is often just someone with a bikini, what also seems hypocritical is that if a male is shirtless it isn't considered nudity; however lately it does fall into the category.

I don't think they need to show her being stripped or anything, but Joker did that out of humiliation for Barbara and Gordon. She has mentioned that being stripped like that has scarred her no doubt.

Killing Joke is definitely up there for content, and can be seen as very mature; I'm interested to see how this plays out, and even more so as to what it will show. Wonder if we get the flashbacks of Joker. Think that would be cool to see in animation due to him falling in the toxins.

Super pumped for this.

I hope they don't use Bruce Timm's animation style. I'd rather see them use a design that's close to Brian Bolland's art. The art in that book is as important and memorable as the writing. I don't want this film to look like an animated series episode, especially knowing that Hamill and Conroy are going to be playing the main characters...again :gah:

I'm glad they are back to voicing this, but hearing Troy Baker do the monlogue from KJ made me want him to take the role.

The artwork of Joker is definitive for me after I first read the TPB. The artwork was just amazing and should be translated into the film for sure.

I like Hamill and Conroy, but I don't want to think of BTAS when I'm watching TKJ. Doesn't Troy Baker sound like Hamill though? Might as well go with the Hamill if you want Baker.

I can understand that. I normally tune that out, especially when I realize what films or other voices actors have done previously.

Baker did sound like Hamill but seemed more grounded for me. I think he'd still add something original, I feel he did his whole origins thing as Hamill so people can ease up as to why he was selected as Joker.

If we go off of current film standards, it would be rated R imo.

Strong violence, nudity, strong sexual content, and disturbing images.

I do hope they go with an R rating.

Strong sexual content? Assuming there even was sexual content, "strong" indicates "explicit," and anything that could even be remotely construed as sexual in nature was on the tamest end of being "implied."

As far as the R-rating goes, my thought process is that the content should decide the rating, and not the other way around. If it needs to be R, then let it be R, but don't make it more gratuitous than it is for the sake of the R-rating. That's why I liked Tucker's non-committed response to the rating.
