Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

List updated, :welcome squirrel8363, glad you're on board.

Payment info (Lone Gunmen):

Hi Guys!

Since we have 15 for the Lone Gunmen I want to get it going and lock it into the schedule. We'll get to the others as they reach the discount level.

Here's the info to make orders official:

Since we have enough people the price gets reduced to the precast discount of $20.00 per head plus $5.00 shipping in the USA, $7.00 international for up to 4 heads. Neck drilling, for those who can't do it themselves, is $5.00 per head. (Heads are designed to fit the Hot Toys small neck joint adapter and other similar neck joints) After casting begins the full price of $35.00 goes into effect.

My PayPal and order address is [email protected]
Please send me an official order email with the subject of "The Lone Gunmen". Include the following:

1) Screen name
2) Real name
3) Shipping address
4) Which heads and the quantity of each
5) Necks drilled for small neck joint adapter, Y or N
6) Painted by Kuato (first 10 discount price is first come first serve)

I will make a chart as orders come in.

So, the precast discount for one unpainted head ($20), drilled ($5), shipped to the US ($5) it would be $30.00. With International shipping ($7) it would be $32.00 USD. That's a $15.00 savings over full price!

For all 3, John Fitzgerald Byers, Melvin Frohike, Richard Langly, unpainted ($60), drilled ($15), shipped to the US ($5) it would be $80.00.With International shipping ($7) it would be $82.00 USD. That's a $45.00 savings over full price!

If you want Kuato to paint yours I will send it to him directly saving you a shipping charge. You will only have to pay shipping to Kuato. The first 10 heads (heads, not set of heads!), first come first serve, get Kuato's $30.00 + shipping per head discount. After that it's full price, $45.00 +shipping.

You will pay him for painting directly, but he asks that we hold off paying for painting until I ship him a batch of heads. This helps his organization system.

I really want to lock this one in to round 2 starting in January

Thanks!

List is updated, now we have 16 for Scully :rock

With the update Skinner and Mulder are both at 14, just one more for the discount :D

Add me to the list for Mulder and Skinner. Is Scully for the more recent movie? You guys don't want a 1998 Scully? I never thought Sideshow captured her likeness very well. Too mannequin like.

To be honest, I'd actually prefer a TV series Scully, but I will take whatever one is available. I too thought the Sideshow face looked to stiff and generic.

We should be be at the discount now for Mulder, Scully, and Skinner. Correct? If so, I will send payment to Chris soon to get this one locked in.

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

We are at 15+ for Scully, Skinner and Mulder :chew That means we've reached the number we need for the 20.00 discount!

Don't send payment for these heads until Chris give the word, I think he needs to figure out where they will fit into his sculpting schedule first before taking payment.

Welcome to the group Justinluck, not sure about the Scully head yet, I don't really have a preference (I'd be fine with any late era Scully - seasons 6 and beyond). No one on the list has really voiced a preference other than a couple people who wanted the movie version so I just went with that one.

What do you guys on the list think about Scully? Movie version or tv series version?

I want the Scully TV version. The long hair might be hard to swing on a figure.

I think the Sideshow Scully was pretty perfect, but I agree that the I Want To Believe Scully's hair might be a problem. I was also thinking about what clothes she would have on as nothing really stood out from the movie wardrobe - Maybe that long winter coat she wore on the DVD box cover but that would probably have to be custom made and I don't know how much that would run...

Does anyone know how long it takes Chris to sculpt one of these? I think he said round 2 or some such... just want to get an idea as to when these'll be ready.

Hi, lurker de-lurking. I de-lurked just to get in on this--put me down for a Scully sculpt. Maybe 2.

As for preferences--I have a very strong preference for a later TV seasons/first movie version. Also, I have *very* good photo references for Gillian Anderson's face. Seriously, I'll put my high-res collection against most anyone else's on the internet. Chris just needs to ask for them.

Or, if it does end up being a 2nd-movie version---so long as I can get it painted with "traditional Scully red" hair, instead of her recent "almost blonde", that'll be OK. (hair color is more important than hair style, to me at least)

Though, if there's going to be a bald version---maybe make 2 separate hair sculpts (one with a common TV style, one movie style), that can be added to the basic bald sculpt?

If 2 versions are made, I'll definitely buy 2.

Oh, hey, I believe I just returned your email from a few days ago.... unless there's more than one X-Files Lurker out there! :D

Glad you "De-cloaked".

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

I was looking at the Sideshow Mulder today and noticed it looks more like the IWTB Mulder than the tv series. I think I would prefer a tv show or first movie Mulder. What do you all think?

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

IWTB Mulder for sure. Sideshow Mulder doesn't really look like any Mulder, but it's closer to the Mulder on the later seasons than to the IWTB, that has bigger hair.

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

I like the TV show/ first movie Mulder.

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

To segue from Mulder's hair---what about Scully's hair? Anyone got a "favorite?" I was just flipping channels last night and X-Files was on, and I thought "I really like how Scully looks in this episode, and this particular hairstyle should be easier than most to sculpt". So I'm thinking maybe Chris could specifically do this one:

Re: The Lone Gunmen, Skinner and M&S X-files Headsculpts set by C.Howes Interest Thre

Unfortunately I am going to have to hold off on this project until a least mid-April. My fiance and I have gotten the opportunity to get a large chunk of the expenses of a trip to Egypt covered, but we're still going to have to pinch pennies to cover our portion, and I already have a considerable amount of money sunk into custom projects that will not see completion for some time.

I hate to miss out on the pre-cast prices, but if these turn out as good as Chris's other work they'll be worth every penny of the full price... and I will want to purchase one of just about any X-Files character we get cranked out, just not until after we return later this spring.
