This was a fun, entertaining summer movie.

Depp was great, he was essentially Jack Sparrow once again but this time dressed up like a Native American and less drunk but equally looney. I loved his chemistry with Armie's Lone Ranger.

I do agree that most of the movie made the Lone Ranger out to be a joke and can understand how that upsets longtime fans. It would've been better had the last hour or so he finally got serious and became the Lone Ranger he was meant to be.

But I'm not a Lone Ranger fan so I don't really care but I do feel bad for fans who were disappointed.

I enjoyed it, it was fun watching it and was a great summer blockbuster.

I can see that. But it was an origin story. The goofy character they started with had a long way to go to get to the hero people know. Had they rushed that story arc it may not have been believable.

Like the Star Trek reboot, I expect to like a sequel more since the setup/origin is taken care of.

Good Lord! What is it with the media when it comes to Disney's non cartoon movies? Do they want to see them fail? It's John Carter all over again.

Yahoo movies (user reviews, no critics) gave this 3.5 out of 5 stars.

They might, and I can see why. The last....what few haven't been very good. Everyone loves John Carter, but that movie didn't do anything for me.

They need to learn how to just make one film, and only one film. I'm getting sick of these "It'll be adressed in the sequel" stuff that's been happening recently.

Make one film. Make it stand alone. And then make a sequel.

I'll be honest, I don't see many movies doing anything for you lately. Have any since The Avengers last year?

Only a few Ween. Only a few.

Spring Breakers, This is The End, Iron Man 3, and Star Trek are all the films I enjoyed. I can't have fun if I don't care about what's going on. :(

You can't decide that before going to see it? I don't go to any movie that I may just have a chance of not liking, that's why I'm not going to World War Z because it's not a zombie movie but a disease outbreak movie which I'm just meh about anymore.

I can't remember the last movie I went to see in a theater that I couldn't stand other than Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black. I like Black, but that was just awful. :monkey4

I don't see as many movies as some though. I rarely see comedies at a theater.

Yeah, people just like digitally animated movies.

LONE RANGER is a highly problematic film, but it's at least better than the last 2-3 PIRATES movies. But people still flock to those pieces of crap, and we're getting at least 2 more of those. Ugh.

It's about on par with the last POTC movie but the first three are pretty good IMO.

Neither do great westerns of the past , LoL

Okay? But Western isn't a genre I really like. So what's your point? Are you just trying to be a **** for the sake of it? There's literally no point, or reason in your comment.

Easy there Tex, If that upsets you. I'm sorry if you have a low tolerance level

Just saw the film. I thought the Lone Ranger was supposed to be cool but they were just stumbling and falling off stuff "Woah I hope this works!" It doesn't work and they fail but they're okay. It really dragged on. HOWEVER, I thought the ending sequence was totally worth the wait. I really enjoyed it and I am all in for a sequel.

The third Pirates movie is awful and I think it is the worst movie of the franchise.
It made no sense half of the stuff they did. the ending battle was cool and even then it sucked.

I thought the last one with the mermaids was much much better than the third one :dunno

All I remember of the third one is that there was an awesome Pirate musical lynching scene...and I vaguely remember Elizabeth dressed like one of the bad guys in Platoon.
