It?s amazing that they can mass produce identically terrible weathering for this figure. Plus should have gave them the correct helmets.
So ESB 40th... where are those Stormtroopers? Hope those come before they rerelease the RO stormie - I mean the Moff Gideon stormtroopers :slap

Agree about the weathering, but the helmet isn?t incorrect. Some of them wore R1 helmets.
Realistically it wouldn?t make sense for the Empire to change the armor of every single trooper all over the galaxy every third or so years. So makes sense that these remnant trooper wears whatever is available.

Haven?t watched the show in a bit but I?m pretty sure all of the Client?s (Herzog) remnant troopers were using the ANH Stunts with RO Armor and Gideon?s were full RO. I could be mistaken though.

...now you sound so informed that I?m starting to doubt myself [emoji28]

...not great. Some of the photos on HT's Facebook page are cool, but the production weathering isn't great, and The Client's troops used what were either ANH buckets or maybe symmetrical ANH-style? Not R1, from what I recall ... which makes a pretty glaring difference on the figure, particularly since the HT Rogue One bucket is very good but still a bit 'softer' and 'friendlier' than the actual prop.

Many times I have thought of ordering a pair of these. They aren't particularly expensive at $200 each. Glad I held off now, not only is the weathering identical but it's also not particularly convincing. The weathering just looks more like sloppy paint than it does damage and wear based on the pics available. The only way I would consider these now is either for really cheap or if by some miracle HT made Herzog.

HT really needs to make Moff Fring with that Darksaber now, if for no other reason than to have a villain figure from the show.

Wow... I pre-ordered one of these guys to go with Mando, but now I'm having second thoughts about cancelling it. Weathering looks pretty bad. It looks like a kid took a black sharpie marker and went to hell with it....

Although it would look good for a "zombie" stormtrooper lol...

Agreed. Not horribly impressive and the weathering being identical ruins any sort of troop building. As of now, it's a pass for me.

Edit: The weathering makes it appear cartoon-ish, like it's cell-shaded or something.

I agree totally with the not so good blotchy "weathering", was my initial impression when I first saw them too.

But as a different Trooper in the lineup I think he'll look OK. Maybe I'll add a little bit of a light wash with a sponge in-between to reduce the contrast of the HT splotches. Might turn out a bit better for 10 minutes work. If it doesn't work, I'll simply wipe it off a bit.

Holy crap HT has now resorted to just using a sharpie for their weathering yikes.

That looks absolutely horrible!

My kid can weather better than that and he?s only 12 lol

Just going to swap the left shoulder and forearm pieces and out them on the right and vice versa to get a slightly different look between the 2 I bought.
