Too bad, Zero could have been a nice nemesis. Especially with what he knows and learned and the fact that Mando hates droids.

If Zero turns out to be Triple Zero, he is actually a viral program so the destruction of the body doesn't mean he is done. If he ditched the droid body on the prison ship and the New Republic hook it up to a terminal to try and pull data then we could see him back.

Yeah, this is the type of episode I expected when they first mentioned the series. Good fun for the most part. I still don't care for the music. Good music can really elevate material.

I?m still not certain if full blown non stop traditional SW music would work in this i?m ok with the toned down Morricone motifs they?re using.

Yeah, those pilots were from Rogue One. :lol

lol

Incredible episode for me:love. Like bein' at Alamo Drafthouse and go all in for the endless popcorn, the french vanilla shake, the pizza, and top it off with the fresh homemade still-warm cookies. AND u go home with the collectible Mondo glass and the pins.

Stuffed with satisfying action hero movie tropes and *epic Mando badassery*. Nice use of strobe lights and action twists. only complaint:

wish he'd gutted everyone 'coz they deserved it, but whatever. And I wish Baby had popped insectoid head off, but Mando hates droids so that works. Shame the hairy guy (didn't catch the name) was such a *&^%. Always a fan of knife work.

I WAS tense. 'Coz didn't know if droid-bug would fly off with him etc. Feel a lot better now.:drink

Didn't think anyone was overacting - maybe a bit of imitation (Harley Quinn) but slime tends to behave like slime. Got to freak out over baby.

This is the way.:clap

I loved it when she mocked his This is the Way code of honor.

Definitely. I wanted to grab my Hasbro Infinity Gauntlet and dust 'em (except like a responsible collector took the batteries out:crying:cool:)

Some good lines too I thought:lol. Euw creepy bro-sis vibe. Sort've reminded me of characters in Aliens 3 here and there, or at least a bit of the dynamics. Mashed up with Expendables. More interesting backstory hints. LOL I think baby gets more than he lets on:monkey3

I also got a THX1138 vibe from it as well.

I liked that creepy droid Zero. And nice to see Clancey Brown after so long.

Also the old man that gave Mando the job made me nervous. He also reminded me a bit of the original "human Jabba" scene with Han.

First time I ever felt that a droid could be a **** lol

Yeah I agree.

Wow, I thought Bill Burr was going to be just a voice or cameo.

And yeah, the door gag with the big horn-head guy was pretty funny.

I would like to have seen what the child was about to do to the droid before Mando shot it. I felt tension for Zero, didn’t have a chance against the child. That could be a running gag – what will the child do to the next intruder? But then have Mondo step in and shoot the intruder every time.

Who is triple zero?

Psychotic torture/assassin/murder droid who loves taking out organic lifeforms. Aside from the name similarity, Zero's first inclination on seeing Baby Yoda, given it had no value to the task at hand, was kill it.

********, new EU nonsense

Disney: Ahmed Best we?re very sorry to have heard of your suicidal hospitalization over Jar Jar backlash and hate and we?re very happy to welcome you back into the SW family so that we can all embrace the brilliance of Jar Jar.

Ahmed Best: That feels very wonderful.

Disney: Do you mind if in episode 6 of Mandalorian we have a stand up comedian emasculate and mock your Jar Jar character in the most watched streaming show ever made. The new fans will learn that they need to hate Jar Jar just like the existing fans.

Bill Burr took me out of it. Just could not be believable to me LOL. Just not SW for me Bill lol. Love the guy, but i know his material and attitude too much. Everything else was fine.

The one thing that kinda bugged me in this episode was that when the 'mercs' were walking through the ship, none of them really looked like they were actually mercs, they looked like they were LARPing or something, the way theyr carried themselves. Same when Mando got back into the control room after escaping from his cell, he was holding onto his blaster all limp-wristed, he entered the room just kind of waving his blaster around. I'd like to believe he would've "cleared" the room like a trained soldier or something.

If this show didn?t have the star wars name and characters it would have never made it on the air.

It is so amateur. The scripts are awful. Terrible casting and acting. Nothing makes any sense.

Can I ask what the main character?s goal is in this series? Oh yeah ? It?s NOTHING.

All they had to do was give him a frickin? purpose. I need to get from Point A to B for reason X.

Then, there are obstacles/characters in Episodes 2 thru 7 that I need to beat in order to reach Episode 8 where I will achieve my goal.

It?s what you learn about storytelling in kindergarten, right?

Baby looking in bafflement at his little hand was funny after Zero's head blew off:lol

Plus there were some nice subtle moments of Mando getting tense over baby. The whole dynamic is genius.:clap

Pure Mando badassery.:clap

This show is a breath of fresh air. :drink

It's the Mandaloreia.

The extended journey of The Mandalorian.

His prime aim is obviously to protect the Child. His secondary aim will be to uncover the Child's origins. His journey in itself is a goal, since he is changing as a person. The Child is having an affect on him.

It's a journey. Follow it, see where it goes and take in the sights.

Don't agree. Gonna guess that Favreau HAS an arc in mind but older shows like Kung Fu and original Hulk "you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" and spaghetti Westerns didn't have the point a to b narrative either.

What's the rush? IMO there was never enough details with the MCU characters like friggin' Budapest or why BP's ring reacted with Bucky's arm or seeing BW track Cap down. This way we get a character fleshed out, see more of the galaxy, and a warrior hero unexpectedly and awkwardly become a father for the most pure reasons. He doesn't even understand what the Child is.

Anyway Favreau mentioned a theater movie so maybe that crossover will happen.
