I like the show overall but man there are some bad episodes IMO. Like Ewok movie bad :lol

I hated the one with the AT-ST.. Was not a fan of the one that followed it up either. Loved Epidode 7 though.

Yeah, I really didn?t like those 2 either, for the most part.

Yeah, it really does remind me of 80's TV shows. If you take Werewolf and it's limited one season run, the stuff directed by David Hemmings was generally pretty good, especially when series creator Frank Lupo wrote it. But outside of the good (especially towards the end of the run) there were some real stinkers..

Personally I think they need to go with multiple perspectives/storylines in season 2. i.e scenes with Moff Gideon and his chronies or the Mandalorians. This gives it more of a movie type feel. At the moment with only The Mandalorian's perspective, it's good, but a bit 1 dimensional sometimes.

Watching the Witcher it immediately has a different more cinematic feel somehow due to more than one story line. Sure that's not the only thing, but it helps.

Multiple story lines also helps create a longer episode which also feels more rewarding and cinematic. Again just taking episodes of The Witcher as a reference, they are an hour and it feels like a decent episode.

Not putting The Mandalorian down. I love it. But if I was involved in Season 2 I'd be pushing those things to really make it epic.

One thing ANH has is a sense of wide open space and great, unexplored temporal depth .. the galaxy felt vast, old and lived in. There was nothing forced about the mystery, it was inherent to the setting. Many things were easy to accept in a setting like that.

ESB felt more like vintage science fiction with its gleaming Cloud City and hints at a larger galactic civilization.

Those qualities shining through the films are why I still talk about them as a grown man. ROTJ certainly has its moments as a conclusion to the story, but hasn't had any kind of a hold on me since childhood.

Rogue One is a note-for-note extension of the ANH aesthetic and brought with it some compelling scenes and set-pieces ... Vader in his castle, the space battle above Scarif, Death Troopers stalking up towards the Erso homestead with Krennic, but veers just a touch too far into darkness to have the same emotional beats as ANH and ESB, nonetheless I love it as its own thing.

The Mandalorian has so far aligned for me most closely with ANH and that empty simplicity with its long, quiet moments. It really feels like something I would have imagined as a kid after watching the films. I'm critical of its shortcomings but as a whole the series has banked a lot of goodwill with me so far.

:goodpost::exactly:Really nice. Thank u. An indelible image for me will always be Luke staring into the distance, the twin suns. For me guess it's no surprise that the first shots of Rey - the massive ship in the sand - is also a favorite. The sense of a landscape wrapping around you, in a real way. I think Mandalorian picked that up opening scene with the icy walk into town, and other shots since...

IMO amazing music to go with:love. For me as well, it's been a revelation as I wasn't expecting much:cool:. Signed up for Disney+ 'coz why not, kill some time with a Star Wars thing 'coz why not, always up for a badass warrior and movie access besides (plus the price wasn't bad IMO)

Wasn't expecting main character with so much heart. Dry humor and badassery and loneliness and a code. He gets beat, makes mistakes. Plus the other characters. And the aesthetics/costumes. Details like the curious little sand lizards and the gritty settlement with street sellers...Well, posted it before, haven't been so blown away since IM1 and MCU kicked off. For sure there are tweaks I'd make, but IMO Mandalorian has set a high bar for upcoming Disney series. But - am sure Favreau/Filoni making tweaks already.

Force choking women & now offering peanuts to kids. Another choking hazard, not to mention the risk of anaphylaxis.

The dark side, this one heads towards.

Same here , finally saw the last one. Glad to see force heal is a thing WAY before TrOS.

That Yoda is going to feed zombie Palpatine....

You know its gonna happen

Bob Iger Knows Baby Yoda's Secrets, But Listen To How He Said It

Baby Yoda. You either love him or you've not yet seen The Mandalorian. (Or rank him behind Babu Frik, in which case we have nothing left to speak about.) But for all the excitement surrounding Baby Yoda, we really don't know a whole lot about this character.

Bob Iger knows plenty. The Disney boss even admitted during a Friday appearance on The Star Wars Show that he knows the little tyke's name. Which, OK. Baby Yoda has a name? Iger later confirms that said name is not George (we dodged a bullet there), but check out how he puts it during the show. (It's right around the 5:30 mark.)

First, Iger says that The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau "chastised" him for referring to The Child as "Baby Yoda" in an email exchange. But then he adds this: "I think people really want to know, what's its name?" he said. "I know its real name and it's one of the reasons why I have extra security now."

Apparently, The Child's identity isn't just a known quantity, it's something that will tie into a reveal. And while that seems like a no-brainer on a certain level, the strong Lone Wolf and Cub vibes emanating from The Mandalorian suggested a scenario where that mystery just lingers. There's just one more episode to go in the show's debut season, and a second season in the making. One way or another, we'll find out more about "Baby Yoda" soon.

Well, yeah, on the other hand I feel like I've been handed a plate of filet mignon with that $1000 dollar Dubai cupcake for dessert, and
I d*mn well am gonna enjoy it.

Nah, just a slow burn. It?ll pick up next season. The last chapter looked like they?re gonna take it to the next level story wise.

Yeah. It's pretty clear now with hindsight its essentially an episode per character for introduction purposes. Now we really get moving, just to stop for a break and have people chomping at the bit for more.

Just hope they lengthen episodes and make the story more detailed with Moff Gideon and other character perspectives occasionally.

Haven't look into it, but a 1-hour blowout end season episode would be nice. LONG wait till Season 2. Wonder if Favreau will be *evil*:nana: and it will be *agonizing* cliff hanger.:monkey2

Still. Havin' to track and wait on anything annoys me most of the time:pfft:; rather wait and binge watch later. So for me it sez a lot the show hooked me enough to bother. Also wonder if Disney might release slightly earlier than rumored, so not to compete with Falcon/WS show which is scheduled next fall. So far.

No doubt it will be a cliff hanger......cannot be any other way.

LOL am ready for the *stress*. :blissysmi

It's nice to give a *&^% about a series again, considerin' the reaction I had to GOT at the end. I swear I just sat staring blankly at the screen for 10 minutes after, and not in a good way.:pfft::mad::computer:toilet_cl
