So I'm going back through the full season of Mando again and this time I decided to watch ROTJ immediately before it since technically Mando would be the next chapter chronologically.

Damn going immediately from the ewok celebration to that quiet and mysterious shot of the tracking fob coming into frame before showing someone in full Mandalorian gear from behind. It totally plays like an ROTJ post-credits sequence revealing that Fett is alive. :monkey2

Such a bummer that it couldn't work out that way. Thankfully I love the Mando series enough as is (and wouldn't want Fett to be just pasted into this narrative since I prefer him to be a straight bad guy) that I'm able to accept it easily enough. But man, if only....

I?ll be buying all that since Hasbro has abandoned 3.75? figures and their Black Series stuff isn?t all that good. Plus, I doubt HT goes that far.

Hopefully HT comes out with Baby Yoda, Beskar Mando, Incinerator Trooper, Gideon, Kuiil, Cara...

Can't comment much on Hasbro - I only bought a few MCU as desk accessories. Tho I thought for what it is, the teen Groot and Rocket are surprisingly good.

IMO the Black Mando figs I got are a cut above, but those were ex.

Meanwhile checking Amazon in the Funko line, Mando will be in a chromed and regular version both with rifle. I gott have the blurrg too. Already have a distressed Mando with rifle. I don't track Funko; IMO Funko possibly leads to the Dark Side seeing some posts by dedicated collectors.

The *silence* on the HT front makes me wonder if they have something horrible planned for everyone's wallet.:monkey3:horror

I had to git edu-cated tho why Boba is a thing for many. After watching "The People vs. George Lucas" (pre-dates the ST) one take-away I had (aside from GL getting a lot of fan hate re the PT/Jar Jar I also hate Jar Jar:monkey3) is how much the fans kept Star Wars alive after the OT. Which - after reading some essays online - is also true of Boba. There's a small petty part of me that just sees Jango/Boba as some sullen minor characters who deserved long-term digestion:monkey3. I get tho that Boba ended up being a leader etc. tho haven't read all that yet.

Need to read some more I guess. Like a lot of folks worry about cross-contamination of some kind, like Mando will get more watered down by film influences even tho its roots are Star Wars - well, it IS Star Wars. But for me it's Star Wars going the right way:gun. Er. A show that doesn't mess about.

Which isn't to say a team up - or not - with Boba is something I'd have a huge objection to. Something that would make a chunk of fans really happy and isn't a hack thing would be pretty positive. Boba fans are just gonna hafta explain stuff.:faq

I've been rewatching Clone Wars on Disney+ and just finished season 2 episode 17 - Bounty Hunters.

The plot is the same as episode 4 of the Mandalorian - villagers enlist help from bounty hunters to protect them from bandits who end up teaching them to defend the village themselves.

Now this story isn't particularly original and has been done many many times going back to Seven Samurai, but:

  • as in the Mandalorian the Bandits have a "tank"
  • during the climax of the battle the music sounds just like the score from the Mandalorian (starts around 19m45s mark give or take. I'd go back a bit earlier to get the percussive intro to the music) - I checked and it is not the same composer
  • The bounty hunters ship is the same type as the Razor Crest

Typical Hollywood. Copy-Paste what works, don't take any risks. Also saves time I guess.

Could also be a bit of coincidence maybe.....

How do you guys put pictures in your messages? All the add picture button does for me as bring up some URL thing, which is useless.

thank you, but there is no ?from computer? to select when I do that...

You don't get this pop-up from that button?

I know the forum is broken, what with the random question marks, lack of search function and the random reduction of image size.

I get the pop up button and a pop up. There are no tabs in the pop-up. Just URL, and a place to put the URL.

They moved Wandavision from 21 to 20 I guess to fill this horrendous gap self inflicted wound Disney gave itself.

Now that Ewan is showing off his ObiWan hair maybe they expedited his show.

Baby Yoda who lol

I like EM fine and am happy enough to see WandaVision sooner but ur not seriously suggesting that Ewan is cuter than
Baby Yoda? Also, Obi-wan f-upped and his padawan was like, a mash-up between the Balrog and a serial killer, and
Din D'jaren's padawan is:

Plus Din D'jaren has way cool armor and u just know he's gonna end up with the most badass lightsaber EVAH:nana:
while all that's left for Obi-Wan to do is wander around, collect peyote buttons, and commune with nature while contemplating ur shameful failures.

(Yoda agrees with this, pointing out that while the greatest teacher failure is, it's not like, he, Master Yoda, hadn't foreseen the whole Anakin *&^%-up, and had anyone listened? Oh, *&^% NO, and now he, Master Yoda, has to hole up in a swamp with no room service....)

Hike to the river. Fill jug with water. Hike back. Hike to the river. Fill jug with water. Hike back.
On Saturdays eat peyote and talk to Qui-Gon and some rocks and watch the pretty colors in 5 dimensions revealed by the peyote.
On Sunday hike to river and throw self in to cure pounding headache.

(We've all been there, Obi-wan!):monkey3:wink1:

Yes anything please just to flesh out their relationship some more by showing some more comradery especially helping each other in ground battles.
