Well isn?t she an outcast who shunned away from her Jedi responsibilities.

I?m just asking because I have never watched TCW show but my son is on them pretty heavy now so always in the background and holy crap they really tripled down on that chosen one crap from what I see.

But what is it with the super fast fighting on that show everyone fights at supersonic speed with no gravity at all. There is like missing animation the lightsabers skip from one location to the next.

If I hear Roger Roger one more time my head is going to explode.

Dunno the 'lil *&^%$# are growing on me.

Anyway agree with pixletwin Disney is testing the waters for potential shows - Iger more or less hinted that. Easier to make money off a character like Ahsoka than the Old Republic, which torpedoed itself with the white boards *diversity*:monkey3 and being a total unknown. Like, if it was a golden age of peace and prosperity, what kind of story is that?

I saw this show when it was on live. I thought it was below average with too many very quiet moments!! As a SW fan I want to go back and revisit but finding it difficult. Also "Baby Yoda" for me feels like a SW "sellout"!! It should have been something new. A baby "new alien" perhaps? Baby Yoda gets a free pass into "Pop Culture" let the character earn it!!

I don't see why you'd think it's a sellout. Except maybe for playing to the OT/PT nostalgia bug?

I like and am enjoying the whole "Baby Yoda" aspect. The cuteness is a little over done mind you, and the whole "Baby Yoda" name has gotten a bit out of hand. But I guess it's an easier way to reference it than "The Child". It is a mysterious species that many fans would be interested in to garner excitement for the new show, rather than introducing a new species no one has ever seen before.

Yoda's species doesn't even have a name or any other info. Not even in any Expanded Universe material (Novels, comics, games...) There's only been Yoda and Yaddle (ugh..... George never should've created her and included her on the jedi council and just let Yoda be the only one we ever saw). And apparently they are extremely force sensitive, as Yoda himself has proven to be one of the most powerful Jedi of all time (also doesn't hurt that they are a long lived species as Yoda was over 900 years old), so it makes sense in story to have people looking for it. And have very few even knowing what it is. I just hope it's not drawn out to last every episode/season and continue through the entire shows run.

I don't think a generic alien baby would have had anywhere near the same impact or wow factor at the end of season1; or justified the amount of secrecy about the asset.

Yeah imagine Baby Maz. Everyone would have wanted to shout kill it by fire. :horror

Ohh what a cute little thing...

His oversized outfit is another aspect of Baby Yoda's cuteness - it's like awful softgoods on a 3.75'' figure - the scale is too small for the clothes to have enough weight to make them sit naturally. Baby Yoda is so small his robes puff out like he's an action figure.

Not that anyone cares, but I just finished this. I liked it; it was a comfy space adventure show. The characters were all fairly likeable, though it's a shame that they killed off Chun-Li so early. Well, at least they didn't off Gus Fring like they did in Westworld; I like him. Anyway, it felt like classic (lower budget) Star Wars, all in all. I did feel that the first few episodes where they leaned more heavily on it being a Space Western were better, but generally, it was enjoyable. It won't show up in my Top 10 or anything, but it was fine for what it was. I doubt I'll get any of the figures. Sure, when I first fired it up I wanted to get that Mandalorian/Child Deluxe Pack, but now... eh. I always say that you should wait until after you've finished something, then wait some more, to see if you really want to buy merch from it.

Anyhow, it was much better than the ST and TCW, I'll say that.
