I guess I'm just a pessimist. I feel like the first season was pretty much perfect. They captured lightning in a bottle.

Any time something is that successful, inevitably more people will want their fingers in the pie. I predict big Disney/Kathleen Kennedy style changes in season two. Maybe something like entire episodes with nothing but the Child being cute and adorable. More strong womyn. More severe lessons that Mando will need to learn because of his toxic masculine behavior.

Yeah. I'm jaded and cynical and joyless. But I loved every episode of season one and I just know they're gonna try to take that away from me.

Well you hate Rey which proves you have better taste than a lot of folks around here. I hope someday you are happier than you seem to be. For me it's as simple as narrowly focusing on the stuff that I enjoy whenever I need to.

Well, yeah. Exactly. It's not pessimism it's realism along with the dreaded specter of KK.

But, it's like Favreau and Filoni have said, they've been through the hype rodeo before. Plus Favreau went into this knowing what he wanted to do, with a full story arc in hand. It's not like Disney flopping around trying to figure something out and hiring whoever.

So what will happen: 7 spectacular and much-loved seasons building to a completely satisfying, emotional crescendo which will be re-watched for generations and become the benchmark for a streaming series - often emulated, but never matched.

Jon Favreau - ''it's always been a danger, looming like a shadow over everything we've built here. But things have developed that'll ensure security....and I've just made a deal that will keep the SJWs out of here forever...''

Great scene in Empire. It always stands out to me because I remember way back in the day when my only copy of ESB was one we'd recorded off the telly and it was missing this scene - we had been pausing the recording during the adbreaks but forgot to resume after one of them and thus didn't record a whole segment of the film - and that's what I had to watch for months...maybe years, until the films were released on video in a new digital remaster - back in '93/94 or something. And evidently I hadn't seen the complete film often enough at that point to remember the missing scenes - so when I finally saw them again it was a wondrous experience. The Lando betrayal scene in particular - ''Han Solo shot at Darth Vader?? Holy ***t!''

Ha, that's a classic !!!

Videoing without ad breaks was a real art back then ! Almost on level with preventing your little sister from recording over your movie with Punky Brewster !

Watch the documentary be longer than the actual episodes lol

Yeah, while I'd be fine with that (love the behind the scenes stuff) they'll cop a lot of flak about it.

I just really hope they got the message about episode length and have increased them for Season 2. To me it seemed to be one of the main complaints, as few as there were. So fingers crossed.

They shouldn't tho. Bet a lot of the audience hasn't see Clone Wars etc. gives an opportunity to do some cross-references. Imagine it takes more to put this together re CGI etc. than actual filming with actors does.

But more Mandalorian IMO would be good thing. Hated when an episode would end they are always too short.

Some Gallery episode summary descriptions are out. Dunno if this is a spoiler or not.:dunno

Thanks, that's a bit of inside info at least. But no runtime mentioned there.

I guess this is probably what it will be like.

Thanks for posting the link, hadn't watched before. I sort of try to avoid green screen stuff, mostly - but, since I do a bit of Photoshop/Gimp - seeing the techs at work with this staggeringly cool tech is great to watch. I mean knowing the software a bit and then seeing what true graphics and 3D masters can do - am in awe.
Tho I would have liked to believe some of those shots were location, like when Mando is trying to be healed by the Child.

Still, location shoots mean some bozo is out there with a camera, spoiling things.:pfft: Now they just need to turn this tech into a park attraction where u can re-trace Mando's steps, more or less. Live the dream!

Once they are used to the surround set I hope it's better for the actors. Plenty of actors have commented on the difficulty of green screen work. And luv this cast and appreciate just how d*mn happy cast and crew seem to be, not faking it. Great atmosphere IMO = great end product.

Even if these are short segment - I figure it's something. Vs. waiting for a few-second teaser which annoyingly could just be something like "Mandalorian Season 2" with music. Now let's hope Disney is working on balancing Disney+ server load which among other things they seem to have had a lot of problems with.:pfft:

I literally dimmed the lights, cranked up the surround sound, and called my 10 year old son into the room to watch that on the big screen with me. What the actual hell. :lol
