The Prequels fare better in my foggy memory (not by a lot, but better) than they do on screen.

Truth is I like 4.5 films and about half of a television show. [emoji38]

My fandom is highly conditional.

exactly.. If not for tcw series the pt would be complete garbage.. The series helped fill in some much needed character moments.

If mando helps flesh out some of the story elements of the st then that will enhance my enjoyment of those films also.



I dont know if the show is going 100% prequel to the st but it has planted the seeds of what is to come.

Let's be real, no matter what they do with this show people are going to find a way to complain about something . I'm just enjoying the ride and appreciating it for what it is. I'm a sucker for Star Wars lore and this show is just packed full of it. PT, OT even ST I don't care, anything that fleshes out this universe I'm here for.

You claim the ST is going nowhere... and yet.... it is going nowhere.

No new novels.

No new animated projects.

No new toys.

ST caused all future projects to be delayed for a time.

My reaction anytime a I see the three stooges talking ST theories trying to make it fit.

Yep and they just released a brand new Holiday Special that spends most of its run time intertwining events and characters from all three trilogies. The 9 part "Skywalker Saga" is here to stay.

Imagine trying to convince yourself of the ST being ?here to stay? based on a lego cartoon

Where are the toys?

Where are the movies?

Where are the animated shows?

PT/OT have em all, but the ST doesn?t.

SW Theory guy thinks one of the clones experiments was Snoke. Claims you could hear Snokes theme... I would not know what that theme is personally lol...

He also brightens up the picture and compares the clone to Snoke.. Sure looks like Snoke and if they indeed play a Snoke theme... Well that about sums it all up. ST is for now a part of the Mando series. Snoke Stuff is at the 4:08 time mark.

He also thinks much of this is showing the roots of the First Order.. Points out another ST type Easter egg later in the video but that one is more of a stretch.

He literally ends the video saying they are Dark Troopers.

Countless articles state they are dark troopers.

ST could still easily be retconned. But if they double down on it they will lose a high percentage of their paying customers. That much has been made clear to them. See the state of ST merchandise for reference. At a time where Disney needs money more than ever, pushing ST stuff into The Mandalorian would not be wise. I think Favreau knows better, we will see.

Exactly. Disney won?t touch the ST with a ten foot pole because they know it is very toxic to their bottom line and health of the franchise.

Dark Troopers will eventually evolve into an ST character.

The fact that they are surrounding a possible Snoke type test subject tells me that they will either be his praetorian guards or the emperors sith troopers.

As much as I hate the ST, there are obviously still fans that love it and want more of it. Star Wars can be for everyone and anyone, that's the best thing about it.

There aren't very many ST fans by the standards required to keep a franchise relevant. And only a miniscule percentage of that already small number spend any money. Most of the ST "fans" spend their time trying to cancel people on Twitter while watching reruns of Twilight.

I know plenty of people that enjoy the sequels and plenty that don't, they aren't less of a fan than me or you or vice versa just because they enjoy other aspects of the franchise, that's just Gatekeeping at that point .

But making out like peoples opinions who like the ST are somehow less valid, is. I'm not trying to start beef or anything and I'm not sure if that's how you meant your comments to come across, but that's how they come across to me .

As I've said, I agree with you, the ST is a pile of garbage. But I'm fine with competent writers and directors trying to tackle some of the issues with them and adding to them in a signficant and meaningful way.

People said the same about the Prequels though, now people aren't as hard on them as they used to be, especially Revenge of the Sith. It's still like 25 years until The Force Awakens, so it's not going to just turn into That Sequel Show. They are just planting seeds.

Exactly. The PT IMO was saved by, of all things, a Saturday Morning Cartoon show. It fixed some major issues that the films had and even introduced the best character from the PT era.

If Mando is planting some seeds to fix issues of the ST then great. Its not like the show is going to become a full PT to the ST tv show. So sit back and relax and enjoy. Maybe it will fill in some blanks and help one come to terms with something like the Emperor being in TROS.

Well said! It's nice to have a common mindset on being a fan even if we have wildly different opinions on what constitutes "good" Star Wars. TurdFurguson sometimes comes across the same way and other times he just goes full Ducky like what we're seeing now. But cut him some slack, he's a card carrying ST hater who just saw Supreme Leader Snoke appear in Mando immediately after giving Hasbro/LFL $350 of his hard earned cash.

Yep we just saw Snoke himself and where will TurdFurguson and Ducky be next week? Watching the new episode with baited breath, that's where, lol. Audiences aren't going *anywhere* as long as the quality keeps up.

Not only that but the new Lego Holiday Special barely acknowledged the PT besides having the characters time-traveling through the entire Saga. The main characters (TROS Rey and Kylo/ROTJ Palps and Vader) were all OT/ST. So much for mining the supposed golden goose that is the PT/TCW, lol.
