I wish they would stay away from stuff like midichlorian counts no matter how tempting it might be to "do it better". And I really have to believe Favreau is smart enough not to soil the golden goose by connecting to the ST in any meaningful way.

IMO except for a whiff of the ST the timeline wouldn't work.

Assuming Mando takes place after ROTJ and there's what - 5/6/7 seasons - assuming it's a pretty contained arc - then the whole thing would wind up years before the ST. At most we should get Luke and maybe a little Kylo toddling around and giving Baby the evil eye.

IMO focusing on the fate of Mandalore - which wouldn't affect the ST films at all - would be a good way to go, besides giving Din D'jarin and Child satisfying endings.
Heck, the comment about the Outer Rim to me, telegraphed keeping stuff distant from the "ruling families" or whatever central government is in place, theoretically.
Which I'd assume Lea and co. would be doing at that time.

Pedro Pascal calm delivery of his lines with the blue and red wire skit with baby yoda has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time.

Seeing his helmet through that small opening was golden.

Notice how the trailers were from just the first four episodes it is going to be a crazy surprises from here on out. :yess:

I wish the season was 12 episodes long, it's going to be over too quick. But really looking forward to what remains. So now that we are halfway, let's rate the episodes thus far...

1) Episode one
2) Episode four
3) Episode three
4) Episode two

But all from good to great nothing bad whatsoever so far.

Yeah like a 30 minute sex scene between Filoni and Ahsoka next week, lol. I swear when his wingman showed up this episode I was getting ready to chuck my TV out the window if he made *another* appearance so I was very glad to discover that Weathers told him to leave his X-Wing pajamas at home this week, lol.

Lol

Part of me thinks that Filoni is actually going to kill off Ahsoka.

It was great seeing the Razor Crest kicking a$$ instead of limping around for a change. The whole tie-fighter chase was a cool homage to the death star trench and "I have you now" moment.

I feel so bad for the ST haters in relation to Mandalorian they didn’t even wait until season three lol

I feel bad for you and Khev that you have to troll this thread with garbage ST theories. Filoni and Favreau know introducing ST elements will kill this show. Tying it into the ST will kill this show. Why do you think they keep going back to OT/TCW stuff? It sells, it’s what people like.

The things at the end are Dark Troopers. Nothing to do with the ST, taken from the EU.

1>2>3>4

Over too quick but they pulled the post production off working with a skeleton staff or working from home. And the visuals alone are mind blowing.
Gotta rewatch #4 tonight for all the details I missed.:clap

But this is quite clearly the early days of the First Order. The Imperial woman at the end even talks about the ?new era?.

Its obvious they are trying to either create a clones vessel for Palpatines essence or its early development of Snoke.

The pilot talks about things happening in the Outer Rim that the Core Worlds wont take seriously, exactly what cause the fall of the New Republic.

Clone Wars wasnt killed by the Prequels, it enhanced those movies and made them better for many people. I dont see why the same cant be done for the Sequels.

Exactly. Whether people like it or not the ST is now canon, so planting a few seeds in this show makes perfect sense. I mean seriously, why do people think Gideon and company are after Baby Yoda's blood? It's not for Dark Troopers - their development is separate and distinct.

Aside from actual good characters and decent character development the main things the ST needs are world building, explanations, LOGIC.

It went from ?Cool, Empire is done for, Sith are gone, Galaxy can finally at peace? to ?Sike, you really thought. Enjoy another space fascist regime that has come out of nowhere with seemingly infinite resources. Also Palpatine is still alive and Anakin did not destroy the Sith, enjoy Rey.?

Some things they?ll never be able to fix for those movies, but anything that adds some reasoning and backstory to them is fine by me.
