People like my girlfriend watch this show and love it because of Grogu first and foremost, and because they like action and fantasy.

They don?t know who all these other characters are and don?t care about their context or backstory beyond the show they?re watching.

40% of the success of this show is getting woman to watch only to see Grogu. Somebody at work just today told me she tunes in only to see the green Gizmo.

My wife does that. She loves the show... but if there was no Child, she would never watch it.

My gf would still watch it, but it might not be her first choice. Actually hang on... I'll ask her.

Her response:

"Hmmmmm... good question. My first thought is yes. With the writing and production quality, it's still a good show, even without the wee one. Especially after the last episode where they introduced Ahsoka. That was a gorgeous episode, 100% worth watching, even sans bebe."

Note that she had no idea The Clone Wars, Rebels or Ahsoka Tano existed.

Stuff like this is good for a laugh, but also an excellent reminder of how truly awful the ST was. That **** needs to be removed from cannon.

The Lighsaber is just a weapon! it's a useless thing compared to the full streight in the Force of a TRULLY Master Jedi, Luke ****s the First Order sitting in a rock.
The over compensation in the lightsabers just proves how wrong the Order was in the prequels, that's why the most powerful person in the saga was Palpatine, he just used the lightsaber as a mere tool, the real power lies in the UNDERSTANDING of the FORCE.

we will have a three way

I would hope tho that the show doesn't forget NEW fans; or something that makes new fans. Imagine there's a fair number in the audience who went "who the &^%$ is Thrawn?"

Like when Maul appeared at the end of Solo, the (majority) casual fans thought they'd stuffed up the timeline.

Force is arguably the silliest thing about star wars. The problem is it becomes the ability to do anything, and its like having Superman vs the Riddler. Mando I think we wont see fight a Jedi again for a long time. He is just outclassed, but Ahsoka was at least de-powered so we could see her real quick in an episode.

The force is what makes Star Wars soo special from the others franchises.
Actually Mando who is pretty overpowered in the whole series,Ahsoka was not depowered, she alone kill a whole army, that made me remember the Genndy Tartakovsky tv series

Well yes, its Mando's show. But she theoretically could break his neck with but a thought. We have seen Jedi able to run 100x as fast as a person, jump several floors in a single bound, survive falling from hundreds of feet, bend the minds of pretty much everybody, and manipulate matter.

Mandalorian has been great because the force has been pretty much left out of it, except for Baby Yoda having a nerfed forced ability that makes it interesting without overpowering. Even then baby Yoda almost killed Cara Dune with ease before he was stopped. Now if your arguing baby yoda is far more powerful than Ahsoka, I guess I can listen to that.

Dude you're confusing jedi with sith, no jedi would do the things you say in a fight with that level of advantage against a non force user, she was fighting to disarm him
And answering your question about power level: Ahsoka is current more powerful than baby Yoda, but baby Yoda has more potential than Ahsoka.

Baby Yoda is a level 10 but has potential to 100
Ahsoka is a level 75 but she is in her max power in The Mandalorian

Baby Yoda and Ahsoka are not Jedi, so my arguments still stand. Both do things outside the norm of a Jedi, and use their force powers based on their own in internal code.

Ahsoka has been shown to kill with force powers against non-force users before.

Dude Ahsoka is a jedi just like Luke, Erza, Rey, Ben Solo, Kal Cestis.
After the order fell there is no more burocracy about who can be or not a Jedi, is you're a force user and uses the lighside of the force you're a jedi. In Rebels Ahsoka was in denial, hurt and traumatized from the things she passed since the trial, after her fight with Vader she changes and accept who she is, a JEDI.
She fight Maul as a Jedi, but is scolded by Mace.
Baby Yoda is a force user who started training as a jedi but he is a baby so he has no morals of right and wrong, he is no jedi yet

No you're wrong, Ahsoka is a Jedi but baby Yoda is not, he is a BABY.
Jedi kills, but they don't do that for the wrong reasons, in this episode she let the soldiers retreat and give up

Fine Ahsoka is a Jedi that kills with her force powers, and could easily kill Mando like she has other non-force users in other shows.

**I actually just looked at Ahsoka kill count videos on Youtube, geez. I forgot how many living creatures she slashed in half. She killed mandalorians up like butter.

But she would not Kill Mando without a reason, she only fought to disarm him.
She only killed the soldiers to save the village from the empire invaders and to get answers about Thrawn

If by 'disarm' you mean sever both of his arms on the way to cutting him in half. :lol

The only thing that stopped her blades was the Beskar. I think her murder-y reaction implied that she assumed he'd been sent to kill her by the Magistrate.

I think that she would know beskar by looking right?
She aimed for the armor and not for a kill shot like Mace did to Jango

Invaders is a strong word. The magistrate seemed to control that region for a long time. The magistrate threatens to kill the citizens was really in reaction to Ahsoka wanting to find out about Thrawn.

Remember when Ahsoka first appeared in the episode, she said she came there just for information. The magistrate told her to leave, or else she would kill 1,10,100+ people. Ahsoka was like whatever, see you in 24 hours, and you better tell me the information then. I just rewatched the first couple minutes to confirm, and Ahsoka doesn't really seem to care at the beginning about saving the village (she is on a revenge quest.)

The more I talk about it, the less the last episode makes sense.

And I thought Ahsoka left the jedi order and considers herself neither Jedi nor a Sith. Are you 100% she considers herself a Jedi???

The fight really didn't read that way to me. It looked to me like she was going to kill him until he said her name and she saw Grogu.

I also don't think the script would leave it up to the general audience to imagine that this random fighter knows what Beskar is, and is intentionally aiming her blades at full speed *at the armour*.

You're overthinking like a committed fan. This show is made for general audiences who don't even know who Ahsoka is.

In other shows she cuts Mando's in half without blinking. Either in those shows they were wearing beskar looking aluminum, bootleg quality beskar, or new Mando episode just fiddled with the properties of beskar to make an episode happen :wink1:

100%. Ahsoka was depowered and Beskar got upgraded. She tried to murder him, but in a depowered way to make an episode happen.

Fine, its a TV show that is entertaining. I was just noting originally that force powers are friggin powerful.

Yes but the magistrate were former imperials, so they problably invade the village after the fall of the second deathstar, just like the former imperial who took control on Nevarro like Greef Karga(or someone else) expained in the first season.

But i agree with the things ZE_501 said, maybe i am overthinking she was pretty aggressive and it was not show if she knew about the beskar, but i still think that for the look of her fighting style she wasnt going for the kil shot in her two main fights.
