Belt appears higher up in that poster. Looked lower down on screen.

Nope, not buying it. The excuse - I may buy the poster. :lol

It might be the different angle, but it almost looks like they enlarged the helmet to make him appear slimmer. Or rather less Fatt.

Not just with the armor there was that one shot when he was still in his sandpeople robe before the fighting began his belly looked huge lol

Boba Porkins lol

So here is the biggest thing I picked up.

If all Fett wanted was his armor back, why travel to awhole different planet to confront Din?

He likely would have had a much easier time of it back on Tatooine getting off Olyphant.

I mean, it?s not like that guy was any match for Din or Fett. Now you can SAY that?s lazy writing but I do not think F@F are bad writers, especially considering the past attention to details in the MCU and Rebels.

As I said before , Fett waited to confront Din on Thyton, it?s the only thing that makes sense.

He was the distraction that allowed the Dark Troopers the time to snatch the kid. Why else wait? The Stormies were just dressing to sell the idea that Fett was alliances with Din and against the Empire. Shand and Fett owe exactly ZERO to Din, he should be their enemy at this point. Din is once again, blind to the fact that Grogu is making him soft and susceptible to attack. My son thinks Din is really stupid and lost at this point. Which he likes as a character arc. Lone warrior makes bad choices when he has another to protect and worry about.

I think Gideon wants Din almost as badly as he wants Grogu. And the finale is going to be the team getting wiped out due to Fetts betrayal. Setting up a massive revenge story for Din , against Fett and Grogu as the prize.

Ashoka will join Din as her arc with be to regain the Darksaber.

Enter Thrawn and Ezra to set up the really huge battle.

I will now turn off my crystal ball.

Don't think so. Maybe if this wasn't Disney, but it is.:peace

And there's too many unknowns, but IMO they are REASONABLE unknowns. Like it's unknown where Din D'jarin got his new thigh plate, but it doesn't grind things to a halt. It's reasonable looking at the construction; and the amount of tools he had on the Crest, that he could've reforged the plate with what he had on hand (I watch Forged in Fire like a religion:cool:). The amount of metal looks to be the same; just welded strips instead of more unfinished. Maybe he had a metal worker do it in some village.

The Jawas had the armor - for a while, it looks like. IMO a critical point. So Boba didn't know where it was. It's also reasonable - if not shown - that Boba, wandering around the desert, didn't know where his armor ended up until the dust-up with the Krait, and THEN he knew where it was. (He hadn't found his armor wandering around, but he did find Fennec...who has an interesting story...)

If you see something interesting out hiking, do you go check out or do you run away? Depends. That Krait had dust and rocks spewing everywhere, it was probably visible for miles. U also might pay attention to two figures who can fly shooting at this thing.

Sandpeople, townspeople. You're a hunter, so you hunker down and wait. Watch. Hunters like to separate the quarry from the rest of the herd. The armor didn't go back to the town, it went with the Mandalorian. One you already know about, from Fennec. Collect Fennec and start tracking. I think that first end scene with Boba was making that point, in hindsight. Boba watched most of the dragon kill.

It's not an unreasonable scenario, considering anyone living the way Boba apparently does is gonna have other things to do, besides look for armor. Get supplies in, and so on. At least the ST gave a bit about how Rey actually lived. Boba - am guessing - doesn't live in a village with a lot of conveniences either. He didn't strike me as very social.:lol

Whether Boba fans are thrilled or not, at least this presentation seems to emphasize Boba has some code of honor. He pretty well makes the point of showing Din D'jarin his history. Like that's important that Din D'jarin knows he's telling the truth. That this deal ends cleanly. Except it doesn't, thanks to Boba's former employers. I'm guessing Boba Fett doesn't like that.

Am not thrilled with the jetpack thing - but maybe:confused:. I gotta picture how fast u could get something like that on, while running uphill in rocky terrain. Trying to do that would slow him down, at least some. Thinking about it *realistically*. Maybe it's one of those there-are-no-good-choices things. Or the plot needed it.:lol

Also I think Gideon doesn't give a *&^% about Din D'jarin. Gideon reminds me of Cardinal Richelieu's portrayal in the 70s version of the Three Musketeers (best version ever done IMO). His female assassin is asking the Cardinal if he isn't angry about losing against the hero. The Cardinal says something about it being just a throw in the (longer) game - basically getting angry isn't worth his time or effort. That's one of the scariest villains - the cool, calculating intellectual.:horror

Gideon already said the Child means more than these "gnats" would ever know. He's also a sadistic &^%$ who enjoys the win. Doesn't mind stepping on the gnats, either. But they're not the point.

Anyway I think we are gonna get the classic Expendables Dirty Dozen type posse. Works for me. It's not what I personally had in mind for the show, but it should be fun. Including another superhero landing.

:lol :lol :lol

Covid or no covid i?m lol

I'm sorry to learn about the nightmare you're going through, jye. I read your posts in the DVD thread, and I don't even want to imagine what it must be like. My best wishes to you and your family that you all get to a full recovery very soon.

Your past medical training makes you much more informed than I am, but I'll still suggest loading up on vitamin D and zinc supplements in addition to the targeted meds. I keep hearing about the immune-boosting benefits of that combo for speedier recovery.

Look enjoy Mando Fett all you want i?m certainly going to try but unless some really drastic character changes are given to Mando Fett he will never be as bad ass the original unedited ESB was it is that simple.

There was a certain nuance to original ESB Fett that remains very unique to him.

Now i?ll sit back and enjoy Fat Fett swinging away with his crazy eyes lol

He actually looked cool in some of his action scenes plus it was nice seeing S1 in a freaking tv show WITH AMAZING EFFECTS!

I agree with you 100% on this. But we both know damn well we're going to eat up whatever they serve us . . . because we're SW suckers. :lol It's what we do.

If this wasn't SW, I doubt anyone would be convincing themselves that Fett seeing an Imperial cruiser would be any more of a clear sign of the Empire being around than two Imperial dropships and 50 armed stormtroopers. We'd all just be saying, "yeah, that was dumb."

And no one would be trying to justify how Boba could be shown wandering Tatooine *with a long rifle* and a gaffi stick and not have already gotten his armor back. Was he seriously gonna wait to find a dying sharpshooter in order to feel like he'd have a chance to take his armor back from some wannabe?

If it wasn't SW, everyone would be like, "GTFO." The dude had access to Slave I, obvious hand-to-hand skills, tracking sensibilities, a gaffi stick, and A LONG RIFLE. Premier bounty hunter in the galaxy. Pfft. :lol

Fett got really discombobulated in that pit my man was wandering the desert like a lost puppy I think C3PO did more to help himself in ANH desert after landing in the escape pod than post sarlaac Fett lol

On the one hand I agree with you but on the other hand I can't help but wonder if the only reason any of us care about the dumb line is also "because it's SW," lol. I mean did all the normies and girls who watch just for Baby Yoda give a rip about the awkward line? I'm guessing not and that the vast majority just rolled with it. Being a SW nerd has always been a double edged sword, lol.

Yep. Even without his rockets and armor I can't imagine that Cobb would have faired any better against Fett's gaffi than all those troopers did. Case in point the squad leader that he snuck up on. Tap, tap. Turn. Dead.

But because it's SW I'm going to assume that he didn't know where his armor was and only learned the name "Cobb Vanth" after spying Mando leaving the Krayt attack force and then tracking them back to Mos Pelgo where he learned who Mando got it from.

I'm also going to pretend that the Sarlacc does some weird thing to fatten up its victims in order to keep them alive while digesting their memories or whatever. Ah the life of a SW fan always trying to connect the dots. :lol

I am waiting on the 501st Legion members to start voicing their opinion on how fast Boba could've actually put that armor back on... I've recently built a full-size Fett replica and it took me a couple of hours to put everything on the mannequin. I guess Fett had more practice than me though... :)

But why not? The Jawas had the armor neatly stored. To me it looked like it had been like that for a while. So u blow a hole in a Sarlacc, crawl out, losing armor along the way, you're all burnt up from stomach acid and teeth, takes a while to heal, you need to provide for shelter and food and all that, you wander around a lot - Jawas are long gone. If you even knew they had the armor - how?

So how do you know Cobb even had the armor? For how long?

Not getting why this is a script issue here, *realistically*.

When he said that the empire was back it was in a sense of a military power, we knew in season 1 that the empire was just bankrupt warlords with a few bad conditions troopers.
Remenber that Bobba was in Tatooine, the main cast was also surprised in the end of season 1 with the military power that Gideon had.
We as audience knows that they have a light cruiser(similar to a Star Destroyer) but the characters dont have this information, Mando didnt even know that Gideon was alive in the beginning of season 2.
For them, the leftover of the empire was just a small facction with short military power, not something as powerfull as it was show to them in this episode mainly to Bobba.

This. Wasn?t hard to figure out what Fett meant with the Empire is back line. To him they are no longer just some remnants left harassing citizens, but strong and capable military power that continues towards technological advancements, like the Dark Trooper.

Ah yes, the literal child, acting like a child.

People seem to have a problem with child and teenage characters acting like children and teenagers. It is the dumbest thing to criticize. Completely illogical.

What was so badass about Fett in ESB? He did nothing but stand around. His reputation is based off of Vader hiring him, along with others, nothing more.

Indisputable Fett Rankings

1. EU Fett

2. Mando Fett

3. AOTC Fett

4. Clone Wars Fett

5. ESB Fett

6. ROTJ Fett

Thank you ajp and yes my A to Zinc centrum vitamins were just dropped off.

If you can, get vitamin D on its own too. Taking 10,000 IU (maybe even more) should be safe as a daily upper limit. Those multivitamins usually have 1,000 IU per tablet. And I wouldn't take ten of those a day for obvious reasons. But the multi is good since it'll have zinc as well. Fingers crossed, bud.

I think C3PO did more to help himself in ANH desert after landing in the escape pod than post sarlaac Fett lol

:rotfl That's just brutal. :lol

On the one hand I agree with you but on the other hand I can't help but wonder if the only reason any of us care about the dumb line is also "because it's SW," lol. Oh sure, I agree that normies don't give a rip, or even give it a second thought. But there are enough examples in this show that point to targeting the hardcore nerds as well. To me, that makes Boba's line an unfortunate oversight.

Yep. Even without his rockets and armor I can't imagine that Cobb would have faired any better against Fett's gaffi than all those troopers did. Case in point the squad leader that he snuck up on. Tap, tap. Turn. Dead.

I will just repeat: access to Slave I. :lol Even if he didn't have a function on that ship to locate his armor, he's got a ship and enough savvy to be capable of tracking Mando all the way from the Outer Rim to the Core Worlds (without being noticed). I just don't think he was helpless in any way whatsoever with long-range rifle, melee weapon, scanning systems on Slave I, knowledge of where to get what he needs throughout the galaxy.

The wandering nomad who rescues a wounded warrior is a cool concept, but I'm never going to be able to square that with the Fett from ESB. But yeah, that's only because I'm a SW nerd for whom connecting dots is an unavoidable reality. :)
