To be fair, the force wasn't used to defeat Palpatine, who sucked the Dyad energy into himself, reviving him to epic levels. It was the power of two lightsabers, which can repel unlimited Sith energy, back at its user.

Rey got the courage from all the voice she heard to use two light sabers.

I think you all are missing a major plot point.

The Jedi of the past were with her. I always took it as they were helping her from beyond. Not unlike Yoda was interacting with Luke.

I do not think it was Rey alone, I think it was exactly as stated in the script. Palps ?I am all the Sith?
Rey ?And I am all the Jedi?

It?s really hard to argue with what explicitly states in the film itself.

Luke shooting womp rats explained his confidence in their mission but it in no way had any bearing on him making the shot since when the time came he relied on the Force and not his womp rat skills. But surviving a barrage of fire from *Darth Vader* when career Top Gun pilots failed? The very first time he even *sat* in an X-Wing let alone piloted *any* vehicle in space? At least Rey was still flying the Falcon in her native environment through debris fields and tunnels she knew like the back of her hand.

I'm not saying that either gets a full pass on the "Mary Sue hero card" or whatever you want to call it but um it's a freaking space fantasy adventure film we're supposed to allow for the main heroes of the story to succeed in areas where most would fail.

He built and piloted his own podracer though, and he built 3PO. He was shown to be technically adept from an extremely young age. There is also a scene in the movie where he is literally being shown how to fly a ship.

One of my immediate problems with TPM (and I didn't mind it that much the first time I saw it, especially after seeing Maul go off) ... was Anakin being a reject from The Little Rascals or whatever.

I would have been totally fine with his abilities had he been played as some kind of savant or even autistic; someone with a preternatural, otherworldly grasp of technology and piloting. Instead we got a chatty, apple-cheeked little brat.

They both literally did things they should not have been able too.

At least in the novel they tell you Rey was flying ships around the junk yard for her boss for years.

Mando is now the Wielder of the Dark Saber.. a whole new saga needs to be told.

But instead we get the Book of Fett played by 60 year old Temuera Morrison who played Jango Fett and all the other Clones in 2002 Attack of the Clones.Not that there is anything wrong with that?

Maybe it will all be back stories???

If grogu ears fall off and he mutates into Snoke or he is connected to the birth of Rey (remember force healing) I will laugh MAO!

Nothing would please the emperor more than mutating one of the Yoda species into a sith clone mutation.

It was great how they first showed Luke on a black and white monitor so you couldn't tell the color of light saber just to build up the suspense of the green saber black glove reveal masterful filmmaking.

I hope the Hot Toys comes with a screen accurate waxy lifeless face you know just like all of their Leia releases lol

Not saying Boba’s story isn’t appealing, but I feel Book of Fett needs to be it’s own show..this series still needs Din in it , whether it’s Pedro under the mask or not
