Stop acting like I showed up and started bashing . We are talking about the same damn topic but my opnion is different from yours.
Exactly.. Its just a difference of opinion.. But don't tell someone that cant argue a certain way when you do the same thing. I probably wouldn't care so much but I was one of the ones told not to bring up the PT to defend the ST... So I find it hypocritical when I see it. If Jye said the same thing I would call him out on it.

Plus his condescending and disrespectful behavior on social media what an immature professional.

Probably upset PH didn't say yes to his after hours hotel story group advances.

Lol and yes I think RJ singlehandedly turned the spark of resistance into a roaring fire. If the only thing he ever posted on Twitter after the release of TLJ was "I definitely understand where people who are disappointed are coming from. But in my gut I've always believed that the truest heroes are the ones who come back after a great defeat and that's what I wanted to present with Luke. He's the greatest character in the Saga and so I wanted to show him embarrassing the FO with powers no one has ever seen before and then fading into legend as the most powerful Jedi ever" or something like that and then just being quiet and letting that post be the *only* thing that anyone could ever quote him on.

Instead he openly mocked and belittled fans, calling them manbabies and all that so that when he did try to genuinely defend his film (like when he himself pointed out that "let the past die, kill it if you have to" was NOT LFL's company mantra since it was spoken by the villain who ended up getting humiliated by the very past he wanted to kill) then people who had already been demonized by him turned a deaf ear to his arguments and doubled down on hating him. He brought it on himself and the ST.

Yet his and Lucasfilm PR team get paid the big bucks lol

Why are u hoping for khev to show up? He has no arguments either and gets shut down just as hard as you do lol

I've got another 6 or 7 pages to slog through so this post will may seem out of the left field WRT the current discussion, but does our seemingly eternal PT/ST back and forth even qualify as an argument when neither side listens to the other???

I just read the thread. I replied to Aussie cause we were talking about relationships between characters. And my man stop. How is that different? Cause we are literally talking about Luke not comparing Star Wars sagas? We are talking about a character and how he is written and dude brings up the PT. You guys were talking about the saga of the PT as a whole and saying how the relationships suck so I compare to the ST. Like it?s not the same topic my man. Not even close. Its like saying Spider-Man is good but the amazing Spider-Man 2 still sucks. Make it make sense lol. We aren?t talking about that tho. Also we weren?t even talking about the ST or PT just how Luke was written and that SWT guy. Please just stop
I cant tell if you are being willfully dishonest here or just did not look at the thread..
Lol now the OT elitists are saying there is no relationship between the 3 main characters in ROTS. It is there in spades but you are just too blind to see it.

to which you replied.

There is literally no relationship in the ST at all. I cannot for the life of me fathom how anyone can diss ROTS and turn around and say the ST had depth and relationships between characters. Rey and kylo was cringy as all hell. Absolutely twilight level crap. Rey and finn was absolutely dumb. They barely know each otherPoe abd Rey. What relationship? They barely speak to each other . It?s just mind boggling watching the same 5 ST fans complain about ROTS while the glaring issues of the ST are just as big if not bigger. And there excuse is well muh OT characters are in so it gets a pass. Derp! It?s hilarious that they don?t realize that they keep bringing up the PT and comparing it cause they know deep down the PT is better so they are sooooooooooo desperately trying to convince themselves that ST is good and PT is bad and bring up all these points when the ST did it just as bad and sometimes even worse .
So this was you and Aussie just talking about relationships?. :lol I guess you are saying I should give you a pass because you did not quote Jye.. But who do you think Assuie was talking about?? Come on man. you guys were not having a pleasant conversation about relationship between characters.. You were having a hissy because of what Jye said about the PT so you bashed the ST to defend the PT and then you come to this thread and tell others not to use the same tactics. Jye was not comparing sagas.. he was saying the character development was not written well in the PT.. Had it been as good as say the SM series the films would be much better. Aussie said his thing about there being good character development.. you then went on a tirade about the ST characters :lol

I always feel like giving you a hug lol

LOL.:duff

Also, it is possible - because Filoni -
https://insidethemagic.net/2020/12/star-wars-sequels-erased-rwb1/
Okay, so what?s the endgame?
The theory here is that Ahsoka will ? or certainly, at least, could ? be used to retcon the Star Wars sequel trilogy thanks to the fact that the World Between Worlds introduced time travel to the Star Wars universe.

Previously, Dave Filoni ? of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and The Mandalorian fame ? noted that the events of The Mandalorian could ?potentially? take place before the end of Rebels, meaning the Star Wars timeline certainly works out in this situation.

They should just dew it. Fix Kylo from just keeling over from the kiss of death, for one thing.:banghead

Alright I read through the thread better. I was wrong then. My apologies. Apparently, I did bring up the St characters when they weren't brought up. That's on me.
It's whatever

Reminds me of a comment in "The People VS George Lucas" where someone sez "it's interesting that this [Star Wars] can make you angry."

Tho I didn't get angry about the ST.

TFA - "Well, that was kinda pleasant. Too much rehash, but I like these new characters".

TLJ - (As seen in a special event opening totally sold out with cosplayers and everything). "WTF. OMG did I just see a giant cow &^^%! Poppins Leia? This is stupid. Wow, this end scene looks great on screen! What did I just see?"

TROS - (To my bro) "What the *&^% is going on?"

Later, reading TLJ reactions - "I think my eyes are getting blowtorched, folks are so (*&^% off":horror.

But now I am having a love/hate reaction to F & F, so guess that's sort of a SW baptism.:monkey3

OK, let's settled it once and for all... for 2021... the FINAL ARGUMENT of ALL TIME!

What is better: The OT... the PT.... or the ST?

Not 'one has better acting but the other has better stuff'... not Driver was the Anakin we all wanted... just which trilogy is better. If you were sentenced to solitary confinement for all time and could only bring one trilogy with you, which would it be.

For a second there it looked like the exclamation point was just part of the other special characters and I was about to say "wait what did the giant cow do to Poppins Leia???" lol

Theatrical ESB of course.

Though if I were to truly select three SW films to watch forever there's no way I'd really pick TPM over ANH, even if I do like the idea of having one film of each trilogy represented that I can revisit depending on my mood.

And to answer to the actual question you asked of course OT would be the obvious choice, I'd be surprised if anyone here (young or old) picked otherwise.

The ORIGINAL OT, hands down. And GTFOH with any SE B.S.
