And yet this new Mandalorian seems to confirm that everything about Fett, from his Holiday Special beast riding days with the tuning fork cattle prod rifle to his propensity for "disintegrating" opponents (something not associated with any other character in all of Star Wars,) really does line up with true Mandalorian ways and that they might be ignoring AOTC/CW canon in that regard.

I approve.

So Holiday Special > PT/CW. Harsh!

I guess there?s room for more than one Mandalorian bounty hunter. If they?re the most elite force in the galaxy it probably stands to reason (like ex-SAS turning mercenary).

Mostly referring to the character development. Whether a cunning bounty hunter or a gifted sensitive Force user it really doesnt matter. The Mandalorian, whom I assume his real name might possibly revealed at later episodes, innitialy built up as one of the top hunters in the Guild, according to his "very expansive serice fee", as depicted in ep1. Despite his seemingly tough reputation, he was still struggling extremely hard as we're all could see here. And I dont really need to dive deeply into the Mary Sue thing anymore.

Man I just desperately need to see how they're going to demonstrate the Empire remmants in this show, especially Moff Gideon (Gustavo Fring) and his Death Troopers :gah:.

The first 10 minutes of this this felt more like Star Wars than any of the ST films put together. So much fun, with really cool and interesting characters. Favreau and Filoni should be given the keys to LF, just great stuff.

Felt the same way. The thing that really draws me into Star Wars is the broken-down, dirty, worn-out, re-used, salvaged aspect of the universe.

This captures that feeling more than anything else in the past 20-odd years I've been a fan.

Yep, lol.

Yes I agree but I also like that Fett can still be set apart due to him taking direct commissions from crime bosses and Sith Lords instead of working through guild agents like Mando does with Weathers.

Rumors are currently floating around saying something about there will be a flashback scene of McGregor Obiwan on former Mandalore planet, occupied by The Trade Federation, well that explains those super battled droids on the trailer. For those watched Clone Wars, Obiwan had a very "tight" history with the Mandalorians.

Prequels haters must be pissed hearing those news :lol, particularly just briefly saw some posts in here expressing their thoughts PT lore going to be "ignored" in this show :lol. Gosh, certain people are just simply so ignorant to the fact both Favreau and Filoni respect Geroge's legacy, and this show is heavily inspired by Clone Wars animated series, go watch Favreau's interview vids on youtube for more clarifications.

Yeah totally !!! I sat there thinking I can't believe I'm seeing this !!

i.e the whole sequence with the Jawas. Even seeing inside the Crawler driver cockpit. So cool !!!

Actually as a PT hater myself one of the primary things I was looking forward to the most when Disney took over was for Disney to go back to all of the PT characters and polish them up with writing that was actually above Lucas grade school skill level of character interactions.

Don?t take my word for it take Lucas?s word he himself said the PT were always meant for 12 year-olds.

So far Disney had been doing a great job at doing just that UNTIL SOLO BOMBED and everything went sideways with that mission.

So now here we are with TV shows instead of actual movies which is still a shame but i?ll take quality SW anywhere I can get it so good SW on tv is better than bad SW on the big screen.

Honestly at first I thought Disney screwed up with splitting up episode one and two thinking that they should?ve been kept them together to make an epic one hour long introduction but now that I think about it giving it that extra two days between episodes allowed us to marinate about the implications of baby Yoda so in the end I think it actually worked out perfectly.

Keep it coming and YES that includes reinventing and rejuvenating PT era characters.

Hayden Christensen still has a chance.

Jake Lloyd not so much.

I am enjoying The Mandalorian well enough but...

... the soundtrack is the most schizophrenic soundtrack ever. When it?s minimal and focused more on electronics, it?s pretty amazing. But when it tries to sound epic and orchestral it is terrible.

I?m almost onboard with it now BUT the Rocky theme still does throw me off a bit when it comes on lol

When he fixed his ship the chorus should have sung "gonna fly now..." lol.

I love the score though. I cant believe we'll soon see Ewan McGregor in a SW series of this quality. :thud:

And "The Egg of the Tiger" was a bit jarring as well....

lulz

double lulz

Yeah EM is going to kill it with proper dialogue and direction look at how good he was without those!

Speaking of the score - go to 5:24 and you'll hear a few notes similar to Kylo's theme.

Kid Kylo lol

Late to the party but bad *** Jawas, so cool.....

So true

Those Jawas are now some of my favorite characters in all of SW. I want the next Haslab project to be a massive 3.75 Sandcrawler with all the little tents on top, lol.

They had no respect for Mando at all. Even after he obliterated half a dozen of them they were still mocking him for botching their dialect, lol.

Holy crap lol

They forced him to climb all the way to the top knowing they were just going to zap him anyways when they could?ve easily just zapped him from the side holy crap i?m dying lol

I love how Mando was up against the rocks just like in Solo with the train.

Yep I totally caught that as well at TLC Indy hanging off the tank.

They probably entertained themselves by throwing pieces of his own ship at him while waiting for him to get to the top, lol.

Jawa trilogy announcement reportedly imminent.

:lol

At least it'd be a trilogy that people wanted, lol.
