Still waiting in anticipation of this line?

Well, the introduction of the Expansion Packs are a clear indicator that this line will, as promised, have army-builder packs -- weapons, gear, ranking insignias...

So, for fun -- polls are fun, right? -- who would be the best character to introduce this line?

Personally, I think its between OT Stormtrooper and PT Cody, but I threw in some others just to start some chatter...

is this wishful thinking....or who we actually think will be first?

I'd buy any of those but I voted Other. This may be a bit quirky but I'd like a Rebel Fleet Trooper first, or Captain Antilles(pretty much the same thing I guess).

I was thinking about putting up "Rebel Pilot" as a choice to cover the hero side of military, but in the end I was aiming for what is a classic, iconic representation to kick off the line.

For the most part, when you think of Star Wars military, you think of the Empire.

I'd love to see any AOTC or ROTS clone first, however with the anniversary comming up next summer, Im going to guess it would be highly likely to get a stormtrooper.

We know the military line will be generic, so no Tarkin. We know armored characters are coming later, so I'm thinking it will be an OT empire officer or some random Y-wing pilot.

I'm with crazy! But, I want one for the PF line along with Cody, Gree, Bacara, and a Stormtrooper.

you think tarkin will be in the same category as boba fett? scum and villans?:emperor

do you guys think it will really be a generic line?? i dont just want stormtroopers, clonetroopers and pilots. i want tarkin, thrawn, and admiral acbbar!!!!

Tarkin gets my vote. I think it will be awhile before we get any armored figs short of an OT Vader or Boba Fett. But hey, if they do clones I think they should have a whole set of 501st figs like the four Gentlemen from Buffy. That would go awesome with Sith Anakin.

Now I'm thinking how cool it'll be to have a SS Christopher Lee standing next to a SS Peter Cushing sculpt.
Just think how great this line is going to be in about a year and a half's time...

I'm really looking forward to this line. I hope that they would start off with either a Stormtrooper, Sandtrooper, Snowtrooper or Speeder Biker! :monkey5

After looking into my palantir, I voted for "other", as my guess is that the first military figure will be a rebel alliance fleet trooper, as mentioned before, from the Blockade Runner in the opening scenes of Episode IV. Never done by Hasbro in 12" and except for the helmet, no "armor" per se.

My guess for the first "armored" figure is a classic Stormtrooper which will be announced at next year's Toy Fair, giving SS plenty of time to continue development on it and releasing some time in 4th Quarter 2007. Plus, once they've got the Stormtrooper done, a Sandtrooper, Bikerscout and Snowtrooper (as well as Clonetroopers) are easy derivatives.

How can you not vote for Tarkin? Haven't wee seen enough clones and stormtroopers. One 12 inch Tarkin in almost 30 years is not enough. Tarkin must be the first in this line.

I agree I think it will be Tarkin. I don't see how making the Military line only generic figures makes sense. Where else would Tarkin and maybe a few other imperial officers fit?

thanks you!!! i agree some of the imperial and rebel forces wont fit in the Heroes and Villains line.

The Imperial characters fit in Scum & villainy pretty easily I think. Perhaps the lower level grunts were just following orders, but I think Tarkin fits into the "villain" category pretty well.

And I do believe they have stated that the military line will be generic.
