I'm excited for the new season tonight, but it's a shame Eccleston is gone, that guy was great.

The entire 2nd season has already aired in UK and I got all the season 2 episodes. Trust me on this, you will miss Eccleston, but Tennant is VERY good. Especially in THE SATAN PIT and THE IMPOSSIBLE PLANET. Watch those episodes and you will say Eccleston WHO....(yes pun intended)

I've seen season 2 as well, and you know, I'm not sure if Tennant gets better in the role as the season goes on or if it's just his chemestry with Rose or if I just stopped missing Eccleston -- but you're right, by the time I got to The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, I had totally accepted him as the Doctor.

I've seen everything so far, Series 1 and 2. Waiting for it to premier on Sci Fi tonight. Super excited. Noww... who's arm at SS do I have to twist to get me my Dr Who figures dammit! I have to say, I love Chris as the 9th Doctor, and adore David as the 10th. I don't want to spoil it, but I really believe the finale was as satisfying as it could be. I just hope they don't forget about the Bad Wolf.

Also... anyone feel like making me a civil war banner that says im with the Doctor?

I saw a T.A.R.D.I.S. figure on ebay a couple of weeks ago that looked pretty good, try to find link.

conger, you mean the UK 12 inch figures? Yea saw those too... only Im not too thrilled. The sonic screwdriver looks oversized, the outfit looks badly tailored and Im not exaclty sold on the quality of the head either. That and there's no Rose figure. Only ones I know of are the 10th Doctor and a Cybermen

Could have been, don't really remember. I do remember that the figures weren't all that great, but the T.A.R.D.I.S. looked okay. Check out BBTS,

Personally I have TiVo so I can have a Saturday night of BSG, Doctor Who and the rest any time I want.

But I do wish NBC/Universal would feature more of the best of SciFi on NBC if only to reach people who wouldn't normally tune into SciFi. I think a lot of people associate SciFi with Twilight Zone reruns and those lame-f/x MOWs like Alien Apocalypse and Sasquatch Mountain.

Part of what makes BSG and Doctor Who so good is that they aren't the typical SciFi fare. I think they would reach a larger audience if more people would stumble across them.

I'm watching season 2 tonight on SciFi Channel, so I cannot wait.

I'm stoked the Cybermen are returning. I was already happy the Daleks showed up in first season.

Im a little miffed that unless you download it online, there will apparently be no other way to see the sepecial 7 minute mini episode they did for the UK Children in Need benifit. It really helps you understand the Doctor and his entrance in The Christmas Invasion.

I missed that. What did it show?

It starts out immediately after the 10th Doctor says "Right then, where was I? That's right, Barcelona!" And it shows him setting the course to Barcelona, it shows his getting accustomed to his new body. Also it shows Rose's reaction to the change. In the end he sets course for Earth but the transformation starts to go wrong and he tells Rose this. Basically he goes mad and sets the TARDIS to full speed (thus the uncontrolled landing at the start of TCI). The alarm goes off inside the TARDIS as the Doctor says, "Hold on tight, here we go. Chistmas eve!" with a very sadistic grin.

If you can find it online I highly reccomend getting it as it sets up the 10th Doctors relationship with Rose and lays bare how she feels.

Dude, that sounds really cool. Damn!

I wonder if Sci-Fi has the presence of mind to edit that intro onto the Christmas Invasion tonight...

Not a problem. But for the record, its not edited into TCI tonight. Its only an hr and a half long because of commercials. I don't feel like checking but I believe the BBC version was almost exactly one hour.

Loved both episodes tonight, looks like it's gonna be even better than last season. I'm already liking Tennant as the new Doctor. He's just as much fun to watch as Eccleston, albeit it in a more manic, affable way.

You ain't seen nothing yet. Ahhh I just can't wait for Christmas so I can start getting Series 3 and find out... so much more.
