Being a guy, I've only cried when the Jedi bite it in Sith, in Lord of the Rings and a few other things, less than 10. However the characters were so well written and the chemistry is/was there between Rose and both Doctors that Doomsday was just amazing. It was a lump/welling up during the regeneration and full on tears for me with Doomsday. I hear the "beach part" made it onto a top 10 moments of the new Doctor Who series over there in the UK.

PS. Its so hard to be vauge about things, but I am trying so hard. Series 3 is just going to make it that much worse. Sci Fi needs to play catch up with the BBC and BBC Candada and just air Series 3 at the same time.

Oh and before I forget for the UK fans who might not have heard yet.

Torchwood starts 22nd October on BBC3:chew

cool.........knew it started this month but didn't know date had been set.......have you seen the trailer?......looks pretty good

Yeah I'm always scared of slipping up and revealing too much, but I'm so excited and wanna talk with all the fans about it at the same time. It's like having to keep a really big secret when you've seen something huge that other fans have yet to see.

Where are Sci Fi in the episodes at the moment then?

Last Friday we JUST got Tooth and Claw and the into of Torchwood. I can't wait for Torchwood to start, but that's just another show I have to look for ... elsewhere. Was there any indication on if Torchwood is pre or post Parting of the Ways Jack?

Nope not seen the trailer, have you got a link?

Was going for my lunch today and a bus went by with a picture of Captain Jack on the side. Said Torchwood starts October 22nd, if it's on the side of a bus it must be true ha ha:lol .

When I saw it, I was like "ooo Torchwood, Torchwood!" my colleague whose not a sci fi fan was like "what the hell are you doing you big fool?":rotfl

It's almost certainly post.

There's far more to come from Torchwood in season two of Dr Who, there's a kind of sub arc, think Bad Wolf in season one and it's the same kind of thing.

All comes to a head at the end of the season to pave the way for Torchwood the series.

shhhhhhh.........your telling too much :D :rotfl

Well there is a certain special guest getting her own show. Sadly her little friend won't be with her. Ugh there is just so much I could say about how fantastic the second series is. Also, anyone else hear the rumor about the Face of Boe finally spilling his secret in Series 3?

Isn't it sad that we can ONLY talk about things that happen up until Tooth and Claw openly? I digress, not really though because other than the intro of Torchwood, am I the only one that found it a little.. dull? Also makes you wonder about the Doctor working with U.N.I.T. previously, but then again you would have to assume that each trip backwards changes the present. Gotta love time travel.

And about Torchwood, if this is post revived Jack, how does he get back to present day Earth?

yeah..I thought torchwood was pre-who

Now that I think about it, Torchwood must be post res because it is set in PRESENT day. Jack was a time agent. Somehow he manages to get thrown back in time... or he gets thrown forward in time somehow? So many questions. I need answers.

Well I heard they built the Torchwood headquarters for the show in Cardiff directly over the rift from season one episode Boom Town. So I'm not hundred percent sure, but I figure it's post Who, I could be wrong though.

I don't like torchwood being pre-who. I don't think it can anyway. we only heard about it during who and it being before doesn't really go with the continuity of the show. anyway, hope torchwood would start soon. can't wait to see it. if only my bbc would get it, i hate getting it through....other means........

Yea, I remember hearing that Boom Town was more important than we've thought. Maybe Jack goes down to Cardiff in the future and gets sucked through some type of vortex to present day and gets involved in Torchwood?

I could see that happening...I just hope that the show doesn't take place before jack meets the doctor.....
