32 gig wifi $499. I'm on it now as I type this. As for the 2. Kabuki honestly I don't think i would even notice the difference for my purposes.

Bought one of these book reader tablet POS for my wfe, thinking getting a I pad instead, but I already have a macbook, whats the advantage?

for me it's all about convenience. It's easier to use an ipad than it is a full blown laptop in some cases.

No real advantage really... People have the misconception that an iPad can replace a computer.... When it really can't, depending on what you want to do. No cd drive, no USB port, and no software installation. Essentially a glorified iPod. HOWEVER, it is a cool device. And now with the cameras on it, I think it's a perfect device for facetiming friends and family. I actually want to buy one of these for my parents, so I can FaceTime with them. They live across tue country and it would be easy and fantastic to see them, and much easier for them...

The quality of the cameras on the 2 was a big part in my decision to buy a 1 and save some money. I will wait for the 3 when they really update the sucker. As for now I'm enjoying my new iPad. I love it! Posting from it.

It is a cool device, even the 1st gen. But I'd really like to FaceTime with my folks, since I never see them. And my father is considering to use iPads for his medical practice. So I wanna get one of these in his hands

I suppose Apple always took the course of pushing their App store over web browsing and thus did not care as much about JavaScript performance.

Which in my opinion is pretty stupid because 99% of all sites require some JavaScript, especially when you go to sites that do not have a mobile version.

Glad they are finally figuring that out and stepping up their game.

Yeah besbuy has a 14 day return policy. So I will just use this one until the new one ships.
