Kinda OT, but is anybody here getting a Xoom tablet instead?
Link? I have read some people don't some things but nothing from any official reviews, just random peoples "reviews"Too buggy to warrant a purchase from what I have been reading.
Well I dont know, I want something but I want it for travel. iphone is too small for movies and books. Laptop is a pain on airplane unless you are in first class, unless you have s small one. A tablet is nice to watch movies, read books, play games etc...The iPad has to be the biggest waste of money there is if you already own a laptop and smart phone.

I am thinking about one once I get moved into house.

Oh going back those three very small quotes you liked.Page 84 in this thread. I quoted multiple reviews from the old interwebs from various tech sites. Enjoy!
According to the reviews they still recommend iPad (the first version mind you) over the Xoom.

Keep sucking on that gay fruit companies nuts.
But again it's cool to make fun of Apple. So have at it I guess.
If that is the case why are you even in this thread? It's pretty obvious you will just read reviews until you find one that suits whatever product you are interested in purchasing. Clearly if you would actually read the reviews from any of those sites you would know that the iPad functions better as it stands.

Now I'm kicking around the idea of picking up a refurb iPad 1 at a decent discount and then upgrading to a 3 next year when the updates will likely be more substantial.
My brain hurts sometimes. People can't process me with a normal brain.
ROFL . you should have just said you agree with me when I said that for the price the Ipad 1 or 2 is a rip off.
I never agreed with you. I said kicking around the idea. Frankly I don't give a piss what you think. As of late you clearly only insult and post so much BS it's no wonder you believe yourself.
Made up my mind. I'm going to buy a discounted iPad and upgrade when they update the screen and add more features. Picking it up tonight. I've waited a while for one of these so -->
Well I picked it up. Best Buy has a 14 day return exchange policy. So if I get the extreme urge to buy the 2 I will. However, I'm happy with the $100 savings. Now I'm just bummed I have to wait until I get off to use it. I need to connect it to itunes.
Much like the company did when it suddenly dropped the price of its original iPhone, Apple is giving $100 back to those who purchased an iPad up to a fortnight before the March 2nd unveiling of the iPad 2. If our math is correct, that makes February 16th the cutoff date, and it's being reported that those in the US will see $100 placed back on their credit card, while those overseas will get £100 / €100 back in their pocket. Very much unlike the iPhone example, this is cold, hard cash that's being returned -- no Apple Store credit here. If you've suddenly found yourself in this pool, you'll need to head back to a brick-and-mortar location with your receipt to get the refund processed, or if you ordered online, you'll need to call Apple's 1-800 number and use your smoothest late-night voice when asking nicely for your Benjamin back. Godspeed.
Apple is giving $100 rebates to people who recently purchased the first gen iPad.
Yep pretty cool!
