If they made a new headsculpt for German Indy, I'm sure they would do one for LC Indy! The only thing that makes me doubt they'll make a LC Indy is that Henry came with all the good swag, so there's not much left for Indy to come with. Cross of Coronado, machine gun, tie, knight sarcophagus?

Not only that, but with the German Indy, at least the disguise is very differant. And even though CS Indy still has the iconic hat and jacket, he looks much older. I just don't see a LC variant happening. Temple of Doom seems likely, maybe they could give us 2 heads, the Tux, and the torn shirt outfit.

Awww you don't think they will do a LC Indy?

Would they be able to sell at minimum, 750 repackaged Adventure Gear Indys with just an added black tie and a Coronado Cross for $90? As Mad Old Jim put it, Henry Sr. came with all the TLC necessities, so there's really not much they could add that would make an Indy much different from the ROTLA version save for the cross and that's still a stretch.

For example?

I'll go back to the German Indy. Super light on accessories. They could have even used the non-hat Indy head (since it's from the same movie) and popped it on with the new costume but they went ahead and produced a whole new sculpt. Ford was already looking a little too old in LC (or Ford looked REALLY young in Raiders), so it should warrant a new head. And I know there are people here that can point out the subtle differences in the costume that maybe Sideshow can exploit.

Hey, I'm just being hopeful! ;)

I'm hoping for some TOD figures. A TOD Indy and Mola Ram are a must. (It'd be nice if one of the exclusives were a Short Round. I know...one can dream though)

As far as Raiders, I'm still hoping for a Marion at the very least.

Just a thought, but a LC adventure Indy that also includes the suit he wore in Venice could work. SS would have to pull of a wearable hat assuming we wouldn't get two headsculpts though... Or not:

Of course, most of the better scenes in Venice feature a hatless Indy:

Just a pipe dream on my part but I'd be happy to have each and every version of Indy...

If they did a new head for German Indy I do not see why they wouldn't do a new head for a ToD Indy and a LC Indy.

I would think the biggest draw with a genaric adventure Indy from the other films would be a different, more animated, headsculpt (TOD would be the exception assuming, as we all do, that he will look as he does during the rope bridge scene). Indy versions from other films would never sell with the same ol' ROTLA sculpt.

For me the only other Indy I want is TOD. And I think that is an easy custom. Only reason for SS to do it is for the accessories. I want to see more characters. I know they said Sallah and Marion are long shots but, I think Indy fans will buy them. I would sure buy them before German Disguise Indy. Unfortunately, I feel this line is circling the drain. To bad because there are some good characters that could have been made. Not to mention Walter Donovan could have used the same sculpt as General Veers...

What I'm asking is how else would they sculpt him to look different other than the TOD look? Because it'd have to be hella different, like KOTCS Indy, to get me to buy another Adventure Gear Indy.

N00b if ssc sellS it and it is indy you will buy it

Wouldn't the "NOOb" be buying anything Sideshow sells vs. the more experienced collector who questions spending his carefully distributed collectible fund on halfassed variants? :dunno :p

They should just sell Indy blank bodies and accesory sets. TOD set, club obi-wan set, arab robe sets. blah blah blah.

Then they can focus on secondary characters and enviroments. :monkey1

Seems like that'd be a nobrainer for all of their 1:6 lines. Unfortunately, there's more $$$ to be had doing whole figures. :lol

This is a fantastic idea.

The word n00b is so relative that I can use it how I want cause I am a ^^^^. :)

Like Flosi said, they could make Indy's expression more animated--like the difference between the Smuggler Solo and Stormtrooper Solo. Personally I don't think they even need to go that far. While it's true, LC Indy is very close to the Raiders Indy, Ford WAS visibly older by LC and a new sculpt would easily show that. I would absolutely buy a LC Indy with these changes: new headsculpt, tie, machine gun, cross of coronado, and whatever subtle differences are in his outfit (like shirt color, jacket details, belt, etc.).

I really do hope Sideshow makes an Indy from each movie.

Upping the quality of certain items would help also. Better belts and holster, more Mike Fisher level. Shirt with buttons. Better fitting jacket.... Would help to see what KOTCS Indy is like, quality wise. If he is a step up from ROTLA Indy then we maybe able to expect better versions as time goes on.... if they just re-used most of the ROTLA parts then there's no need to purchase the others when I can just buy the parts I need through TA or some other site.
