That sculpt isn't too bad. That's 3 paint ups so far I've seen of it. I see a resemblance to Fox, but I prefer Nek's sculpt. I can't wait to see someone paint it up!

Yeah, I want to see Nek's painted up, too. Can't have too many options!!!

On a side note, if anybody has an extra Andy B. John Locke head I'm in the market. I know MikeTek said he might do another run but I haven't heard anything since.

Keep customizing, Losties! :rock

Jack continues....

Head paint is ongoing. Started working on his body and clothes. I was very happy to find a 1/6 key to put around his neck like the one he wore in season 1/2.

Gonna start his tats soon....

That's looking freaking great!

And that also confirms that I want to go with a Royce body. Can't wait to see you tackle the tattoos! (and I'm glad Nek's sculpt comes with the key ;) )

Thank you!

That is cool that Nek's comes with the key. I've no plans to make Desmond or Sawyer (my LOST display is mapped out to only include only Locke and Jack in 1/6 and some other goodies) but I LOVE that he included a fish biscuit with Sawyer. :lol

A word about bodies- my Jack is on the HT Perseus body. I got a Royce body but when I cut the neck off the Navy Seal head I'm using the Royce neck was too thick.

The Perseus body has the Royce/Wolverine arms but the chest/neck is hard plastic, unlike the rubber chest/neck on the Royce/Wolverine. I still had to trim the inside of the head a lot but it fits much better on the Perseus.

Of course, then I had to swap the legs off the Perseus (he has realistic legs with unique ankle joints that don't fit regular HT feet)....:lol

So just be aware that the neck on those Wolverine/Royce bodies are wider than regular Truetypes. I guess it all depends on the diameter of the neck on Nek sculpt.

I'm also working on a way to swap Royce arms onto a regular TT so I can give John Locke some realistic arms. The short sleeve shirt covers the bulky biceps and the forearms look great.

Sweet. Thanks for the heads up on the bodies. I'll keep that in mind when I finally pull the trigger.

Looks amazing so far, how are you going to do the tattoos? Decals?

Thanks!

I have some very fine-point colored markers so I'm going to sketch the tattoos in pencil and then trace them over in marker. The good thing about the hard plastic arms is if I screw up I can paint over them.

Needs a little clean-up and the characters are a touch high but I don't hate it. Gonna let the ink dry thoroughly before attempting to erase the pencil outline.

Wow! Fantastic!

This.

You've totally set the bar man. I really wish I had the time and finances to devote to getting my Jack together now. I'll have to 'settle' for my Crash jack for the time being, but you've made that incredibly difficult. Lol

Wow, thank you both! But honestly there's nothing here that anyone else couldn't do. In fact, as I was looking at my pics I realized I didn't make enough points around the 5, which is why it doesn't reach around correctly. Duh! So I'm fixing that currently. :lol

Beeshaw, I totally hear you. I am very lucky at the moment to have the free time to experiment and I've thinned out my collection sufficiently to pay for the parts (though I'm far from finished).

I really appreciate the kind words. This thread has been an inspiration to me.

Jack's one of my all time favorite characters from any movie or tv show and I must say you did him justice with this figure.

Now does anyone have any paintups of Nek's Jack to share :impatient:

I'm hoping to pick one of these sculpts at some point...

My Jack should be painted toward the end of January. I'll post pics as soon as I get him back.

I made some Lost themed earrings a couple of days ago. I'll post a pic if anyone cares to see.

Hell yes!

Here's a Dharma cake I made for my wife (then girlfriend) a few years ago -

That's a hidden Mickey in the center. We are LOST and DIsney nerds.

Who's doing the paintjob? I couldn't tell if there's a beard sculpted on Jack? Did you get a look at it before it was sent out for painting?

I'd love to see the earrings, are they 1/6?

Wow, that's good:clap

Wish I could afford a good HT mucsle body like that, I would love to have a go at those tats.
