According to YoNose, Dastan is the way to go. The Royce neck is thicker so you may have a harder time getting the head to fit.

You pick a painter yet Rock?

Yes i Sent my Desmond,Sawyer and Jack to Greggo. He had time and very reasonable price too.

Aren't Dastan,Wolverine,Royce the same?Im just curious to see the size difference between this and a regular TT.

Do any of you Lost fans own the Predator Royce Figure?I am considering the whole body for Jack, but afraid it is too big,it's a gamble when the body goes for around 70$.

Actually I'm using a Perseus body (but my head is not the Nek74 sculpt). The Dastan body is the same as the Royce/Wolverine body. They all have a rubber neck/upper chest. The Perseus has a hard plastic chest/neck and the neck is thinner.

If I get a chance I will take some pics for comparison.

Here's my original post about it, if it helps -

A word about bodies- my Jack is on the HT Perseus body. I got a Royce body but when I cut the neck off the Navy Seal head I'm using the Royce neck was too thick.

The Perseus body has the Royce/Wolverine arms but the chest/neck is hard plastic, unlike the rubber chest/neck on the Royce/Wolverine. I still had to trim the inside of the head a lot but it fits much better on the Perseus.

Of course, then I had to swap the legs off the Perseus (he has realistic legs with unique ankle joints that don't fit regular HT feet)....:lol

So just be aware that the neck on those Wolverine/Royce bodies are wider than regular Truetypes. I guess it all depends on the diameter of the neck on Nek sculpt.

I'm also working on a way to swap Royce arms onto a regular TT so I can give John Locke some realistic arms. The short sleeve shirt covers the bulky biceps and the forearms look great.

They are all the same body exactly.

if you want to make the neck thinner, check out the Die Hard thread in the custom section. It has a tutorial on how to make it thinner.

have any of you seen this?

Also, Beeshaw, I haven't forgotten about you. I just wanted to do a really good job on the shorts and I think I am ready to do it.

Here's the Royce/Wolverine/Dastan body -

Yonose,a comparison pic would be greatly appreciated...would help me alot, those bodies ain't cheap so i wanna make sure im doing the right thing.

And yes,i searched ebay for Perseus, would probably be better because of the neck.

Always keep in mind that my Jack is a modified head that originally had a sculpted neck like the old Sideshow heads. But that said, I think his neck hole is pretty average.

Here he is on the Perseus body:

And here's how it looks on the Royce (same as Wolverine and Dastan) body:

As soon as I posted the Dastan body I remembered it was actually the Perseus that you said! My mistake and thanks for clearing that up YoNose!!!

The Nek sculpt also has a neck that I intend to dremel off eventually. First thing is getting the $$ together for a body...

Can't wait to see your painted sculpts Rock! Just having Jack sitting here unpainted is driving me nuts. Couldn't imagine having more than one taunting me!

Thanks for sharing those pics Yonose:) What i cared about really was just the arms, the rest of the muscle body aren't important,so Perseus is good enough for me,the body looks just like a regular TT and wouldn't have to worry about it being too big for Jack.

Are the Thighs on Perseus Rubber,if so can you take them off?The Jeans would probably look REAL tight on Jack with those on.

Perseus' legs are hard plastic. They actually fit into most jeans and look pretty good but the downside is that they don't take normal Hot Toys feet. They don't have a ball joint socket - it's a peg hole. I believe only Perseus, Leonidas and Slim Truetypes have compatible feet for it.

To solve that problem I unscrewed the hip sockets and swapped out the legs for TT Advanced lags. I used the thigh "implants" as well since my Jack's jeans were kind of baggy.

Yeah, I was on the fence for a loooong while about that sculpt. It may be my only option though seeing as how Juliet's been in the works for twice as long as I think she was expected to be. At that rate, if that sculptor does end up doing a Hurley it'll be GOD knows when.

And that said, absolutely NO rush on the shorts. I haven't touched my Hurley in months. But I owe you a huge thanks regardless. :)

There just had to be a downside about this body too :lol

I will figure it out, thanks for the tips,i appreciate it.

I walked through the Barbie aisle at Wal-Mart last night and eyed up an $8 Ken doll JUST for the arms. I'm concerned about the scale though. I'd have to hack off the hands of course and somehow attach a Hot Toys peg/hands. I know it won't look as pretty as the $80 Hot Toys bodies, but it may tide me over for a bit longer...

No real custom updates (still painting John Locke's head and awaiting more parts from Ebay) but a very significant part of my LOST display showed up today so I couldn't resist taking a fast, crappy pic -

BAD ROBOT! :panic:

:yess:

:rock

LOVE IT!

All you need is a couple Alias bashes and the Cloverfield Monster and you're set!

That damn Cloverfield monster! I ad that thing on preorder from Hasbro for like a year and finally canceled because I figured it was never gonna happen. Now it goes for crazy money on Ebay. :gah:

Though I honestly don't know where I would have put it....

Never watched Alias...opinions?

For it's time it was awesome. Post-LOST though... it loses a little bit of it's lustre. But you can see quite a few LOST pre-cursors in the narrative and playing with mythology. And some familiar faces pop in from time to time... (Terry O'Quinn...)

It was my 'show' before LOST came around and the only other series I have the complete collection for.
