I'm not reading some of the posts because of spoilers...I'm savoring the last season on DVD.

Anyway I talked to Raymond Ferraro about decal commision for Jacks complete tattoos. We just need five or more people to get it going and lower the price to $12 to 13 bucks. You can find Ray's work on the Comedian smiley decals and Die Hard in the Custom section's first page.

If somebody could please provide a more complete picture of his inside tats, it will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks beeshaw...Seems his inside tats are more comprehensive than those pics..gah we need to find the rest of the design. I could have sworn I saw it all in a shower scene. lol

I'd honestly be fine with just the larger forearm and upper bicep tattoos.

thanks for sharing the pics guys,gives me a better idea.Doesn't look like it's any smaller than a True Type so i think i will go for the TTL without the sculpted neck.

Yeah I think we could agree on the bicep and forearm tats if we really can't get a clearer pic of the tattoo near the armpit.

Are these tats real or just for Lost? I know they made an episode about it with Bai Ling..

That first pic with the Soap is from the Jimmy Kimmel show,not Lost so yeah i think the tattoos are real.

Yup. They're all his. But the meaning behind the real tattoos and the 'LOST' tattoos are different.

For story purposes, the tattoos on Jack's arm read: "He walks among us, but he is not one of us."[3] However, Matthew Fox already had the tattoos when he started on Lost. The producers considered putting make-up over them but, instead, decided to keep them and just fit them in with the plot.[4]

According to Assistant Professor Xinping Zhu of Northeastern University, the tattoo is made up of four Chinese characters (simplified Chinese: 鹰击长空; traditional Chinese: 鷹擊長空; pinyin: Yīng jī chángkōng; "鹰", hawk; "击", strike or attack; "长", long; "空", space or sky) from a poem written by Mao Zedong in 1925, and the Lebanese Phalangist symbol. Fox's tattoo translates to "Eagles high up, cleaving the space".[5]

In an interview, Fox said that, for him, getting a tattoo is a "pretty intense experience" and something he would not do in the "spur of the moment". He thought it was a "really cool idea" for Jack to have tattoos.[6] Since Fox used tattoos to represent memories or meaningful events in his life, the writers took a similar approach when dealing with Jack's tattoos.[7]
