Depends on the definition of "great." I'm sure it's a thankless job to come in after Harris' take on the character and credit is due him for coming in and taking on someone else's well-established/loved characterization. Am not hating him anymore in HP -- am now at the level of "meh", but he just doesn't do it for me as Dumbledore. Actually, am not a fan of Gambon in mostly anything.
Then we replace him with Michael Gambon, who is a great replacement wizard.
