Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Not a LOTR fan, in any way. But, I am a Peter Jackson fan. Dude is amazing, and i'll see his movies. Even if the source material isn't something I love.

Don't hate them. But, eh. The movies are well made, but never did anything for me. Except the 3rd one. I liked that one.

I know, for someone who likes Transformers you disappoint me greatly :rotfl

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Indeed.

Watching it right now. :)

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Just finished watching Production Vid 6.

Wonder why they chose to have the Dwarves in open barrels like that...

What did I say bad about it? :lol I said they're great movies, I just don't love them. And I like the 3rd one. :lol

People just assume anything that isn't "OMG CAN'T WAIT" = I hate this.

I'm looking forward too it, but elves and trolls aren't something I like.

Now, i'll go as far as Skyrim. I love that world. It's so gritty.

And I love Peter Jackson, and i'm interested in what he's going to do next.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

The Hobbit will destroy Prometheus in quality most likely.. Just like the Lord of the Rings trilogy destroyed every previous movie made.

I think it will be the best film of the year. My level of expectation is as high for this as any movie I think I've ever seen. All the video blogs and trailer have left me thinking those expectations are on mark.

Skyrim is a cool world indeed, very similar to the world of Tolkien's. That's probably where they got their inspiration for design from for Obliv and Sky.

Prometheus is like my most anticipated movie of all time.. I can't describe my excitement for it. Somthing I've been waiting to see all my life.

But overall, I'm sure The Hobbit will be a much better film..and it's second on my list. I wish I had been old enough to appreciate the LotR trilogy in theaters, that must have been an amazing experience... I feel so lucky that The Hobbit is actually happening...and looks to be on par with the LotR trilogy.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I wonder if Prometheus will be full of sexual innuendos like the alien movies were. Or if they'll take the design in a different direction.

But yeah, can't wait to see something just related to LOTR on the big screen again.

Yeah, it was pretty cool seeing the lotr trilogy in the theaters as each came out. That's why last summer was great with them putting the EE in theaters again. I agree The Hobbit does look on par which is awesome.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I think the Hobbit looks better then LOTR. I like the cast more. Martin Freeman is awesome. And it looks a bit more stylish. I love the shot with Gandalf walking in that stoney area.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I won't mind the eagles talking (or Smaug for that matter).. but I am not sure how I will feel to see Beorn's Animal Butler Household serving Thornic & co. :lol

(I know I don't want cockney accented spiders, that's for sure)

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I am more interested in this than Prometheus to be honest
