I'm watching the midnight showing in 3D because Mom can't wear the glasses anymore because of her eyes. I'll take her to a regular showing later. No IMAX near me.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I'm going to see this in 2D first and then IMAX 3D plus at least 4-5 more times on top of that.

Around here, usually the midnight showings are in 3D if that's available. Josh, chances are if you want those glasses, you might have to see it in 3D at the midnight showing.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, I want the glasses but I want to take my folks to the amc cinema suites which is 21 and over so we can relax and enjoy. We're opting for that at midnight so I may have to skip the glasses.

I'll try to get a spare if I can, just in case.

I've always wondered what that experience is like. Does it not get loud and distracting with people eating and pressing buttons for servers to wait on you and stuff? Everytime I see it I want to try it but then I think about the things I mentioned.

I've never even heard of it.

You're welcome. Just keep your toenails trimmed. :D

Will do. :duff

no, it's as quiet as a empty room really. You get some noise but it's no worse than someone walking up the steps coming back on ther own from the concession stand. The button doesn't make any noise at all. It's totally worth it IMO for a movie that you don't want to risk having messed up by someone bringing a baby to or something else that would require common sense.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Sounds awesome. I just looked around me though and it appears the only one around me is the more casual one. The fork and screen. I don't think it's 21 and up though which if I'm being honest was a big draw for me. :lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, that's 18 plus but it's about as good. My amc doesn't put up with junk so they'll remove dumb teenager. I'm with ya though I always choose the 21+.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Precursor of things to come hopefully...I cant wait

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

You can get an open edition in October if you change your mind.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I'm hoping SS does The Hobbit.

In what form?

They won't get the statue licence for a few years if at all, as Weta have only just begun with it.
Why not get into Weta? Again, if you like something, buy it if you can. It's called collecting!
