Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

All the EE's at the end of the journey will add up to be around 9 hours or so total.

It doesn't even take me that long to read The Hobbit...

:lol

I want to take Christopher Tolkien out to second breakfast and buy him a plate of Radagast's Red Velvet Pancake Puppies while I enjoy a steaming mouthful of Shire Sausage.

Also that stupid "Trilogy" mentality.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I'm glad its three movies. We're going to get The Hobbit fleshed out really good and also get great material from the appendicies that will help tie The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings together in movie form. For someone like me who's #1 thing is this subject area I couldn't be happier as I said. :rock

Me too. We don't NEED a Hobbit movie period. Can't they just flesh it out to 3 movies because it might be fun? :dunno

Don't get me wrong I want The Hobbit story told and for me it needs to be told. However, the material being added just fleshes out Middle-earth so much more making The Hobbit even better. Its gonna be so much fun having this to look forward to for three years and endless times in EE format after.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, I'm glad it's 3 movies as well. Because once the credits roll at the end of the last movie that's it. That will be pretty much all we will see of Middle Earth on the big screen. I doubt that anything would ever be done with The Silmarillion with all the legal red tape, not to mention that it wouldn't be as recognizable or appealing to the casual fan.
