Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

No freaking way, I thought for sure the Trolls woulda just grunted.

I was worried about that too, especially since PJ just confirmed that the spiders will only speak in some weird telepathic language that Bilbo can somehow understand (maybe because of the Ring?)

Anyway, can not freaking wait to see this movie. Apparently That's What Bilbo Baggins hates is confirmed to be in the film also.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I wish my local movie theater would do something like this for The Hobbit:

A little more than 1 1/2 months to go fellas....

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Carmike Cinemas blow.

It's the only theater chain we have in my town.

It might just be where youre located, the one I go to is extremely nice. Theres an AMC close to my house too but it gets so much traffic its garbage. All the teenagers think its okay to just trash the place and treat it like sh**.:lol

I don't have any! I have to go out of town. The Carmike I go too isn't bad. I like the Cinemark better though.

Curious, how much is it for a matinee ticket when you guys go to your Carmike's?

A 1 PM showing at mine is 8.50$!!

That's insane, not to mention it's a dump. A 3D showing cost around 14.00$ a ticket!

When I traveled to Utah to see TDKR in Imax it only cost me 7.00$, for a matinee.

$6.00 at Carmike and $5.00 at Cinemark.

Actually, due to getting free tickets, I haven't paid for a movie most of the year.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I can't believe it's almost here. Time flies.

I'm getting giddy for Nov. 7th to get here! I'm hoping there's some kind of special item other than the 3D glasses that we can get for the midnight showing!

Our Carmike is $5 all day-night on Mon-Thu. Love the matinee showing, less people there.

The Trolls talk in the book. Do we know if Aragorn is going to be in the films in some form?

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I have a feeling we're in for a few surprises along the way. At least I'm hoping so. Just read an article on Yahoo that Steve Colbert might have a cameo somewhere in it. :lol

I heard about it on TV. :lol

Should be interesting! :D

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Yeah, I expect it will be something like him standing around in the background or like we saw Jackson in FOTR or TTT.
