Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Did you see that Appendices scene of the Orc army vs Dwarf army outside of Moria from over 100 something years past...This is looking so freakin great!...In over 45 years I have never anticipated a film more in my life than this one...

I actually thought that might have been a clip from the battle of the five amys, but now you mention it that would be right, makes me wonder what else they have put in these films, what about a twenty something Aragorn at Rivendell?

I'd wager he'll get a cameo at least.

Its from The Battle of Azanulbizar in which the Dwarves tried to retake Moria. This has been known to be in the movie for quite some time.

Yeah i think he would be in there somewhere.

Aragorn will not be in The Hobbit at all. Viggo was not on set at any point during the film.

I would love to see Elrond yell at a 10 year old aragorn .."Aragorn! Stop hunting our squirrels!"

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Never know, maybe Viggo Mortensen comes in 2014 and does some post production work which ends up in the final Hobbit film.

This reminds me of Star Wars Ep 2,3....I was dying(waiting) to see on Coruscant a guy yelling at his 10 year old son who was playing "Scoundrels and Aliens" with a fake blaster, vest and boots...."Han, Get your scoundrel ass in the house! Supper is getting cold and tell your Fuzzball friends to get the hell home, It's getting late!" They should have had Ford play the dad...Even if you could see the dad's face at least use Ford's Voice!....I would have loved that

What's to stop PJ filming a ten second Aragorn scene for the third film when Bilbo and Gandalf stop at Rivendell on the return trip to Bag End...hmmmm:lecture:pray:

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Or Gandalf and Aragorn catching Gollum before or after he spills his guts ("Shire, Baggins") to Sauron.

That scene takes place long after the Hobbit and right before events of LOTR take place...It was a scene that should have gotten mentioned at the Council of Elrond in FOTR

Could happen but I feel pretty secure in saying that will not happen.

Doesn't fit with the timeline of the movies from what I know.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Would make more sense to have a young actor playing a young Aragorn maybe in Rivendell he was in his 80's in the LOTR so Vigo would be to old to play a young version.
