Would make more sense to have a young actor playing a young Aragorn maybe in Rivendell he was in his 80's in the LOTR so Vigo would be to old to play a young version.

Would be pretty cool to see Elrond present him with the ring of barahir and reveal his true lineage. I think that happened when he was about that age? Something that would fit more with an extended edition maybe.

There was no 17 year gap in the movie, so Aragorn would be 28.

it's funny.....there was never any mention of legolas in the Hobbit..yet he will be in it..same as Frodo.
So...why should it not be a stretch to see Gimli.or a younger Aragorn in the trilogy?I would have loved for this first movie to pick up from the end of Return of the King...Bilbo telling the story to Frodo as they sail off...

what have u guys got...12 days til this hits?

Legolas is easy to pull off being an elf and Frodo still pretty easy. Viggo as a younger Aragorn would have been difficult I think. Don't be surprised if JRD makes an appearance as a random dwarf in the battle of the five armies or the prologue sequence in the first film. Gimli was just too young at this point in the timeline to do things.

Something like that. Not too long now.

Watched the Two Towers last night, one thing that bugged me is how people just beleive him when Aragorn says "i'm Aragorn son of Arathorn" and know that he is the rightful King, not further investigation just a yes my lord king :cuckoo

Its because they know the name and know of his lineage. There is no nee to investigate.

As I said they know the name as its been long know in the world of Middle-earth. In the books it's even less of an issue because he has Anduril from the start.

I think a combination of the 3D and the HFR would be horrendous to watch. I'm seeing to 2d first then 3d the second time.
