Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I have been trying to avoid too many spoiler/preview scenes, but I had to watch that White Council clip and it's awesome to see those characters together. I'm really thankful that Christopher Lee was able to participate.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

My buddy got tickets to a screening on Tuesday in Burbank. Not sure if I can make the drive down yet. But it will be next week, one way or another.

My son has a hockey tournament that starts next Friday night and goes all weekend. I'm still trying to figure out how to work the movie in.:gah:

I flat haven't. I avoiding some real spoilery type reviews but I'm watching TV Spots, that 13 min deal, etc. I can't not watch it to be honest. This subject outside of my family, faith, friends, and my job means as much to me as anything. If I could do something with Tolkien and Jackson's work (like teach a high school or college level course) for the rest of my life that would be very cool. So I'm all in on all of this material and saving every last bit of it I can to my HD.

Yeah, you never know when WB might want things taken down. I have several things saved from the LOTR that I go back and look at every so often.

One of my best friends is going to that screening, too. I can't wait to hear what she thinks.

And wait...what's the thirteen minute deal?!

Got a few things from them. Right now just a couple of my LOTR things have come in the sword letter openers. Real metal and really well done.

I wonder whats up with that light up sting. (is it like master replicas? probably) Kinda want a real Sting, although the light up one would be cool if sharp.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Not sure on that. I'd imagine its close to that in someway.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I bought my wife a couple of Harry Potter items from Noble - Time Turner and Hermione's wand - and we're very happy with the quality.
