Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Still, I get where they're coming from. At times, I was more focused on how long it would be until I can go to the bathroom again, than the movie.:lol

I had my refillable cup which is 32 ounces and I filled it before each movie! :lol

Big bladders for the win! :yess:

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I love it all! :lol

My favorite part of all the movies. I can only hope the battle with Smaug is this great!

It wont be...Smaug wins all and every round and is God until the Black Arrow in the 15th round...but the Battle of the Five Armies will!...and I bet it will be emotional...at least I hope it is...

No goodie. :( Did they show the Peter Jackson intros on your's? The site said they were suppose to, but they didn't, which was fine since I saw them the last time.

That sucks. :( I mean the keychain wasn't all that great but something is better than nothing. They did some trivia as well and gave away some Hobbit themed pins and Hobbit themed beanies. No PJ this time. I figured they would since they did the EE thing last year.

You guys got an hour!!!?? I got 20 minutes!!! :lol

Yeah, it was nice. Gave everyone a chance to take care of everything and walk around. I did have to get up during TTT to walk around for a second as my right hip started to tighten up (basketball injury). Otherwise the movies, day, and space between movies was a darn good time.

Ween here is the badge they gave out during trilogy tuesday and the badges I've gotten from various movie events.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I'm incredibly excited. It's going to be an even more satisfying experience due to the Man of Steel trailer attached! :yess:

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

They could skip all trailers as far as I'm concerned. I just want the main course on this one.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Well, then, that's where we differ, my friend. I'll be pissed if I don't get to see the trailer this Friday. :lol That being said, the experience will be even more satisfying if we get the new Lone Ranger trailer Friday!:yess: :lol

I'd be shocked if we didn't get to see them. So I think you're ok. I think Supes will be fun but Middle-earth is #1 for me so if they skipped it I'd be ok, but I know others wouldn't be so let it roll.

OK, looks like I will be seeing it in IMAX 3D on Tuesday, DBox 3D on Friday and HFR 3D on Saturday.

:yess:

Nice! You've got me by one at the end of the first weekend.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Don't get me wrong, I'm still incredibly excited for The Hobbit, moreso after the marathon, but now I'm faced with a dilemma as to which I'll see first: HFR 3D or XD 3D.:gah:

I'm going 2D with my first showing. I just want to concentrate on something I've been waiting years to see.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I dont care what showing...just concentrate on the story and put yourself in the fantasy...the rest be damned...who cares about what format IMHO...I can overlook that in a heartbeat..my first showing is at 7 on sat Imax 3d...no worries here

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

The only two other "events" the theaters near me had was Twilight (pass) and Harry Potter, which I couldn't do since it was a two day one on school nights, which I thought was dumb.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

I'm going to the 3D midnight showing then probably the 2D with Mom on Sunday afternoon. No IMAX or 48fps near me.

This has got me thinking. Box Office wise, would it be better to see all the showings in the first week or space them out? :lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread

Well, it looks like the Tuesday IMAX screening will be HFR 3D. That's going to be fun. Assuming they release a 3D Blu-ray, I may never see this in 2D, lol.

???????????????????????????????????????????????Hmmm ask em if they are going to raise prices in the next few weeks...if they say yes then to increase Hobbit box office performance I'd wait to go when the price hike goes into effect...LOL:exactly::goodpost::yess::wink1:
