Well, it looks like the Tuesday IMAX screening will be HFR 3D. That's going to be fun. Assuming they release a 3D Blu-ray, I may never see this in 2D, lol.

If I wasn't curious about the HFR I'd probably never see this in 3D.

I'm seeing this in Imax 3D Friday (Star Trek Into Darkness preview AND Man of Steel trailer!) and HFR XD 3D on Saturday!

If Hobbit is a huge hit the next one will be released 120fps and in 4D.

Ha, I'm a big 3D junkie. I'm really looking forward to checking out the high frame rate presentation. I don't see it catching on, so I think I need to check it out while I have the chance.

Got ya. 3D is ok (totally not something I want to do at home). Its something I don't mind catching for action movies or comic book movies, but for something like this there is no better way to see it than 2D. I'm very curious about the 48fps as it seems there is little grey here and you either like it or don't.

Should be watching this Wednesday or Thursday night. Can't wait! I know he won't be in it long, but I am so excited to see Gollum on screen again. Such a great character and the riddle match should be a blast to see Jackson handle.

You missed my point. I didn't mean overall box office money, but in keeping it #1 for as long as possible. I'm sure it will be #1 for the first week, but after that ?

I may never see it in 3D. Just had bad experiences with John Carter and the Avengers. However, I may change my mind based on reviews on this thread.

LOL...I know...But I gotta feeling it'll be #1 till sometime in January...you dont have to worry about that IMHO
