Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'll be curious with the EE if they'll release it at the same time as the TE or go the traditional route like they did with The Lord of the Rings. I'm getting both either way.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

That's what I think as well. Kind of just follows the tradition if nothing else.

Hell yeah :rock

Found the movie very enjoyable. I loved the portrayal of the pale Orc and his pet dog. Scared me to death.

Azog is a menacing character and I love'd it when he came on screen! :panic: :D

I want a THTUJ LE SE EE DVD with a little Weta Statue...Environment or even(just a thought) a 1/6 scale Goblin Scribe with swing...It would be small, fit in beautifully with other Weta pieces and they should make say 10,000 for a $100 4 DVD EE box set with that statue...I'd buy it in a heartbeat!...Those earlier LOTR EE DVD sets with Weta Statues were awesome and worth every penny!

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'm with ya 100% on hoping Weta will do something with the EE Blu-Ray.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'd so shell out the extra cash to pick up a blu-ray w/Goblin Scribe. :lol

I like that in the Chronicles book the Scribe is described as being an embarrassing son of the Goblin King from one of his early marriages. He was crippled and puny so the King just let him sit next to the throne and take notes for him instead of being in a position to one day assume any semblance of real power or responsibility.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

That's a good idea for an EE item.

That little guy cracked me up. I really just loved the different looks we got with the Goblins. The Orcs and Goblins while related are different as is described in text someplace I saw a while back.

What do you think of that book Khev? Pretty sweet isn't it? You know there is going to be a part 2 for that book out in April?

I'm loving it so far (I've only had time to flip through it a couple times though.) I really wish that the LOTR films had books like this. I remember going to Barnes & Noble when the first trilogy was out and being disappointed that they didn't have any "classy" books like this one. I thought they all seemed kind of tacky and reminded me of the SW Visual Guides.

I did see the announcement for Chronicles Book 2 and can't wait to pick it up as well!

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

There are some pretty sweet books for The Lord of the Rings. A little different style but the Art of series for The Lord of the Rings is really good.

The first four books there are awesome. If you can find them for a good price they're worth it IMO.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'm dying to see Hobbit DOS trailer/commercial...hopefully soon(Super Bowl?)...maybe when The Great and Powerful Oz plays in March

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'm thinking that could happen but more than likely will be attached to the end of AUJ towards the end of its run to get people to go back. Not that I need a reason. :lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I think I want to pick up the sountrack and the art book. Have to wait until I have the funds. :rock
