Only 12 more minutes?

The Hobbit: An Unextended Journey. :(

Re: The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

Hopefully most of that 13 minutes isnt added to the Dwarf Dinner scene.

Anybody have info on what scenes have been added or extended? Other than the Elrond/BIlbo scene at Rivendell, that is.

I believe some of the shire stuff has been extended and the scene of Bilbo finding the Shards of Narsil. I also believe some of it will be the Dwarves giving the elves some grief similar to the book.

My family and I love watching 3D movies. I started buying them last year knowing I would be buying the 3D TV this year. When I finally bought my TV, I had about 40 3D movies ready to go. :yess:

It's something I won't mind doing once in a while but not terribly often. It's a nice option to have if the mood strikes.

Its 13 mins. See you just got an additional minute. :lol

Bilbo Found the Shards of Narsil? I don't remember that in the book, is it appendice material or have I just forgotten it over the course of all these years since I last read it.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

So the appendices here are a continuation from The Lord of the Rings extended editions correct?

I think Josh meant it as in Bilbo comes across the spot where they are displayed in Rivendell while he is looking around.

Holy shoot I just saw a Gollum/ Bilbo dio that might be the gift set

Re: The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

The cover art is cool. I would have preferred though that they went with the same thing as The Lord of the Rings EE.

I do too, with fold out maps and such.

I wonder if they'd ever release an Uber-Box Set with The Hobbit EEs and The Lord of the Rings EEs on Blu?

This has me wondering if they're holding out to make these even longer, plus add goodies, like the Harry Potter Uber Set.

13, but still...........:(

And I still have the boxes that the LOTR EE's came with as well.:lol

Re: The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

I'll definitely be gunning for the statue version.

Re: The Official "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" movie thread *SPOILERS*

wont shock me if it's $99 bucks...I bought the last 3 for under $50 each...I hope it's numbered L/E or at least they release how many were made...I just hope it's legit!

I figure it will be at least $100 if not a little more. The LOTR EE were $75-80 when they came out so I figure this will be more. I doubt this will be a LE none of the LOTR ones were except the items you could get through SS (Gollum and Minas Morgul).

Nice. :clap I bought a 3D tv at Christmas and if the movie is in that format that's all I'll watch... I buy every (pretty much 3D) movie that comes out.

The mood strikes often for me. I showed my wife GI JOE RETALIATION last night in 3D--- loved when she realized that Tatum was-- uhm, well, done. :lol She was not happy.

Love it! Instant purchase.

I can understand that. The glasses that came with the TV are much better than the theater ones and being active shutter helps. I didn't like that either but Duke is my favorite character.

Totally instant purchase.

I went passive-- so far no complaints. Duke was never my favourite (I do like how he was introduced with Roadblock in the comics and that's how Roadblock gets brought into the movie-- lots of nods to the comics with #21 Silent Interlude essentially being alluded to with the mountain ninja fight) but I never really associated Tatum AS Duke... just like I never agreed that the chicken Bay gave us WAS Starscream (my favourite Transformer).
